Happy 4th of July Roll Call
Hello everyone
I don't have big plans all day till about 8pm today. I am going to a friend's house for some BBQ and fireworks. This morning I will walk to the Farmers Market today and I will go to my favorite local book store. Then I will walk to the gas station to get the Sunday paper. I will come home and relax.
Yesterday was fun. I saw Eclipse twice, so I have seen it 3 times already. Can we say obsessed...hahaha. I also went to Sally's Beauty Supply for some manicure tools. I am going to attempt to do my own nails. I will probably mess them up but I will at least try.
Well I hope everyone has a great 4th of July.
I slept in today and it felt fantastic!
We are going to a pool party today at 2 so I have some time to do a few things out in the yard. The dirt that was excavated up for the new drain line needs to be raked into a mound. Dave has done the better majority of it but it needs to be centered more (according to him). I discovered Japanese beetles are eating my flower leaves yesterday, caught one in the act! These are those dark brown greenish beetles. It went to beetle heaven last night, smooshed on the driveway!

That is about it for me until we go to the party.

Good Morning Everyone,
We celebrated our 4th yesterday with our family, a bbq, and pool party. Then went to the fireworks last night. It was a great day.
Today I think we are doing nothing. I will get some meat on the grill later, but the pool is calling.
The only bad thing that happened yesterday, was that our AC went on a holiday too. We have never had a problem with it until now. So, since everything is closed today, probably tomorrow too, it will be at least Tuesday before I can get it fixed. The windows are opened and the fans are on.
Have a great 4th, and play safe.

We're pretty much relaxing at our house today. Had our granddaughter Friday and Saturday then went to a cookout at the kids' house last night and the fireworks in Morris. I need to get a few flowers planted yet that I bought in Ohio and also need to get started on the flower girl dress for our granddaughter. Might be a good day to do that with the heat and humidity coming.
I tried a little bit of lettuce salad last night and it really went down well and tasted so good. Also, my aunt brought a salad to a picnic Friday that was so good. I'll get the exact proportions from her but it was just cut up tomatoes, cucumbers, green onions, cottage cheese and salt and pepper. It tasted so good and was really different. I'll post it as soon as I get the recipe.

This color describes my face. Yes so I'm not going to smile today. Ok maybe some smiling. But the good news is I got alot of Vitamin D. LOL
What am I going to do today? Well some one mentioned going to see fireworks. As long as there are NO crowds of people I'm all for it. An it's Dark out and NO sun today.
I may even take a nap.

No special plans for me today other than sometime over the next 2 days I need to go grocery shopping and do laundry. I probably will shop today.
Yesterday I started cleaning out some cabinets and then went to get my vacuum and it has gone AWOL. I am assuming the cleaning lady has it. Why I do not know. I must admit I started laughing. Everyone in the neighborhood just helps themselves to my tools in the garage etc. I don't mind but when I need them I have to track them down. I pretty much know who borrows what but the vacuum cleaner is a new one.
When I borrow, I try to get it back the same day. I love the relaxed give and take of our neighborhood but sometimes it gets so funny. I sent one neighbor to another to look for my ladder 
Lisa, I am so sorry you are without AC. Come on up if you get too hot. Also, try the places tomorrow. They may surprise you and be open.
