Friday Roll Call
Good Morning Illinois,
Not much happening in my world today. Just eye dr. appointments, cleaning house, and fixing some of the goodies for our 4th celebration on the 3rd.
News flash, they started working on the yard yesterday. Hopefully they will seed and cover it today.I did buy 2 new lounge chairs for the deck yesterday. They look nics.

Barely working here due to basically not much work on my desk. It is a good day to straighten up junk that accumulates in my cabinets. 
We'll more than likely sit on a local restaurant patio or deck for a small bite to eat later and then back home to sit on our front driveway and enjoy our neighborhood.
ps - to add our second drain is in. We are now waiting for one landscaper to come and give us an estimate on how to regrade the yard for proper drainage.

Good morning Lisa and Illinois!
Not much on the agenda today. I've got to go pick up the t-shirts for next weeks family reunion bbq. I'm looking forward to seeing all the cousins I haven't seen in awhile. Mike and his family will be arriving on Thursday so they can attend the reunion. Looking forward to seeing my grandsons again even tho I just came back from WV on Monday night. I had a good time there. We went to see Marmaduke and took an 1.5 hour boat tour on the Muskingham River. It was very interesting but hot and humid. The boys got a chance to drive the boat. We had a good time!

Happy Friday Everyone!
I am at work and bored out of my mind! Not many calls today. I think everybody left early for the holidays. You can always tell when things are slow as the volume goes up from everybody here talking and not on the phones!
No special plans for today. I do get off work 1/2 hour early as I got caught on overtime twice this week. Of course I may be stir crazy by then.
I have read the Chicago Tribune already, my yahoo page and all my mail. I would be on facebook but my company doesn't allow it.

Hello everyone
I'm at work...on lunch break actually. I am so looking forward to the end of the day.
My job (in accounting)does not depend on people calling me so things are the same for me. There is a little more laid back of a feel because there are so many people that took the day off. But I have the same amount of work as any other day. So no break for me, but then again no work can make the day draggggg by.
I have no big plans for the weekend. It would be nice to see my daughter but she works weekends now and is off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I will going to see Eclipse again with a group of friends from work. We are meeting each other tomorrow.
Well I hope everyone enjoy their Friday.

Still at home recouperating. Thank you all so much for your words of encouragement. They felt so needed these last two days. I am blessed in that so far (Knock on wood) I have not had some of the really serious complications as others have had.
Thankfully today, feels BETTER than yesterday. And that is all I can ask is that each day feels better than the last.
I have been doing good on my walking, my daily lovenox shots, my sip, sip, sipping. My surgeon is a "stickler" and wants all his paitents to stick to the true clear/liquid diet only (broth, SF jello, SF popsicles or weak tea) for the first week. And of course the chewable vitamins. I see him on the 7th to get the staples removed and then I guess if things are healing nicely he "bumps" me up to the next stage of eating...The pureed/cream, mushy stage. I think I MUST be feeling better, because I was actually CRAVING Cottage Cheeze today! LOL

So glad you are feeling better today! I too had a VERY strict surgeon -- even more strict than most. My theory is dont rush the food. I was on soft/pureed foods for almost 6 months and even though at the time it seemed like an eternity, it was the best thing I ever did! Think of your new tummy/pouch as the same as a new born baby's and you have to reintroduce food to it gradually. By being patient, you will be rewarded greatly. Those who followed my surgeons program joke that we have "cast iron" stomachs. I never have any problems with any foods, and I have never vomited or had any food stuck. So, patience pays off. You can do it!

Not really choking but it's stuck issue. To the point where it takes me about 15 min to get comfortable. I don't always have it, is it because I'm not going slow enough. Because when I think I go slow, I don't. Maybe I should do like what you did for 6 months. It's safer that way.
Have I told you, i'm so glad you guys are here. It means alot knowing that i can ask questions and you guys give me answers back.
