Thursday Roll Call

Good day to all of Illinois! Hope it is good for you. We are having the trunk line put it that connects to the drain that the village put in back at our easement. They have the village portion just about done all that remains is the landscaping to be finished. The portion that is on private property has to be done by the homeowner. After that we will get a couple estimates for fixing the lawn on our property. Oh joy, more $$$ out of our pockets but we are looking forward to not having to deal with flooding.

Have a great day.

Good Morning.
I am glad that you are getting your lake cleaned up. But it sucks that you have to pay to redo your yard portion. Supposely, our yards and stuff are to be finished this week, but haven't seen anyone working on them.

No plans for today except a couple of errands. I may start a 6 layer cake for Sat. Something I haven't done in a long time.

Stay safe,wear your shades.

huggers,
LISA

Hello everyone

I have nothing going on today.  Just work and some errands after work.

I went and got my hair cut and highlights put in.  I like it a lot.  I also got my washer yesterday.  I will do a load of clothes Friday.  My first at home load of clothes in 15 years!!!  I bought a drying rack so I will wash a load and hang it on my drying rack.

I had strawberries for breakfast and they were yummy.  Then for lunch I will have half of a roast beef sandwich.  Yummy.  I'm not sure what I will have for dinner.  I am also walking more.   I am hoping for some weight loss!!!

Well have a wonderful day.

As I was reading what you wrote this morning I was having "sugared" strawberries with Splenda and having it with cottage cheese.  YUM, YUM I like fruit with cottage cheese. I usually have canned peaches or fruit salad.

Good morning! I am heading to the doctor today to get a check-up on my plastics and take out my four drains. Thank goodness. I am soooo tired of having these drains in.

Sorry about the home repairs, Christine. Homeownership has its privileges, huh?

It is not so much a home repair as it is "upkeep".  Our backyard does need a lot of things done to it, but this adds way too much . . .  We (the neighbors and us) have been going through this for close to 1 3/4 years. We could not get the village to commit to anything. It was not until I e-mailed the man (the village president) who signs my paycheck and sent him pictures that I found out that the village had earmarked $$ to put in the drains on the easement. DUH! why had they not told the people that were effected this? We all have been banging our heads against our brick walls.

Good morning Illinois!
It has been awhile since I've posted. I've been busy with the trials and tribulations of life. Weight loss has been slow but that is okay. All in all I feel I'm doing well. Will try to check in a little more often.
Hope you all have a wonderful day! Get out there and enjoy this beautiful weather.

Good morning Everyone.
Not sure what the weather is up in ChicagoLand but down here in St. Louis we are getting a repreive from all the heat with some gorgeous near fall like weather!
I'm not doing to much today except to walk, sip, sip, rest and even trying to get in the required liquid meals is really hard and painful.
I am just looking forward to feeling better day by day, being able to sleep more than one hour again will be nice. Haha!
I'm sure it will get better. I'm told by around day 10 one really gets to feeling much better, right around the time they progress to the "mushy" stage diet.
It will all be worth it in the end.
Warmly,
Jackie
