Pictures at 8 months out

Hi Illinois Friends,

I'm 8 1/2 months out from surgery and my weight loss has slowed down to a crawl!  I was feeling pretty down about that, because I still have such a long way to go.  So last Friday, on my 41st birthday, I asked my husband to take some pictures of me.  Here they are, with a pre-op photo for reference.  Looking at these helped me realize how much I've accomplished and that I just need to keep going after my goals, day by day!

I have to agree with Chris. There is no way I would of reconized you.

I can SO relate!  My weight loss stopped at 10 months out. 

You DO look incredible and have come oh-so-very-far! 
You FEEL better, right?  You can DO MORE, right?  Your "quality of life" is better, right?

You have come a looonnnnggggg way and are doing great!

Wow! Such a difference! You look great. Remember this not a sprint--it's a marathon.

First off, You LOOK WONDERFUL!  

I can totally relate.  In fact, I had the same conversation at Chris's meet and greet about myself.  I think we truly do not see it in ourselves.  I still look in the mirror and all I see is FAT.  I know I have lost weight but I wanted to look so much different by now.  Part of it is the head not catching up with the body.   Hang in there, it WILL come.  Just go along at whatever pace your body has for you.  Remember, the tortoise won the race!   

WOW!  You look AMAZING!  Happy late birthday!  That dress is gorgous and looks fabulous on you.  You don't look like you are 41!  You look so much younger!  Congrats on everything!
