Southern IL-St.Louis?

Hi fellow Illinoians!
I'm sure this is on here somewhere, but couldn't find it. I am new to the site and group and already have my date and surgeon.

I'm having my surgery done in St.Louis as I live in Southern IL. Do we have any other folks in Southern IL? I see a lot of Chicagoans! (Was born and raised there! Waving!) but alas...I live in downstate now, across from the Lou. Anyone else out in Belleville, O'Fallon, Swansea, etc? Would love to know if there is a real life group that meets, or even just have some friends from teh area for support and such.

Jackie, check the roll call for today as there is a lady that is from your area by the name of Sharyn1961 There was another lady that was a frequent member of the board by the name of Dee S but I have not seen her for a long time.

I PMed Sharron, she is a really nice lady. We are about in the same age range, and don't live to far from one another. Since we have the same surgeon and hospital (she just had her surgery) she and I can be support for one another.

Hi I was raise in Collinsville but live further south now in Eldorado. I had my surgery in St Louis too.

Did you have your surgery at the St.Alexius New Start? What did you think about the experience? You are always welcome to send me an email.

I had my surgery at Des Peres. It was a great experience all the way through until I left icu. I didn't have a very good experience during the second night in the ragular room. One nuse would have made a great drill sargent and the second was not very good either. Thanks for the complement I'm sure you will do great.
