Good Morning. It is tuesday, and more rain is predicted.

I couldn't fall asleep last night, so i overslep this morning. I probaly could go back to bed, but I won't. I really need to get outside and do some some chores. We will see who wins, the rain or me.

I go back to work on the 19th of July for a couple of 5 day work weeks. Then off again for the month of August, and back regular hours Sept 1.  I know some of the schools just got out for summer, but, my summer is almost 1/2 over.
I am looking forward to our vacation to Washington D.C. with our granddaughter. Also to the Meet and Greet  here at my house on  8/14.

What are you doing this fine day? Stay safe and dry.

Huggers,
LISA

Dear Lisa:
Please, please, pretty please. Can you send some rain and gentle thunderstorms this way to southrn Illinois (Right east of the Missippi and St. Lou).  All the storms are going AROUND Belleville to Freeburg, Sparta, and north to Springfield and even further north to Chicagoland.

I used to live in Chicagoland (NW Suburbs of Cary, Lake Zurich, all over) and sure miss some "decent" T-Showers. (Yes, I am a bit of a weather nut. Meteorology is one of my hobbies I share with my adult autistic son.)

My garden is going crazy with tomatoes and cucumbers and I can't eat a single one! (being on preop liquid diet). Hubby, son and MIL are enjoying wonderful tomatoe salad in vinegrette with fresh dill every night with their dinner.

Today i get to run to the Air Force base and pick up some meds from the clinic. (Hubby is active duty Air Force at Scott). And I promised my son I would take him along so he could stop at his favorite Malt Shop and get his cookie dough malt. (I don't get "concretes" at all. We never had those in chicago, so they can keep them!) :LOL!

Just got done finishing my 2nd 12 ozof water for the day and some sugar free peach jello for my midmorning snack. Oh boy!

((((hugs))) and take care!
Warmly,
Jackie

Good Morning Jackie and welcome. I really feel for you, I know you have been in a heat wave the last few days. My 2 best friends live in Shilo. Long story, but I grew up in the Metro East area. And have been living in North Central Illinois for 45 years.

We won't get tomatoes for a few weeks yet, but you could liquidfy some and make a kinda tomatoe soup.

Just remember, this to will past, and then you will be continuing  on one heck of a journey.

huggers,
LISA

I sure wish you had been posting more all along.  You sound like a lot of fun.  I am part of an ASPIE group on FaceBook as I am likely a high functioning Aspie myself but there was no such diagnosis allowed when I could have been diagnosed.

You are on the apex of a very nice part of the WLS roller coaster.

Randy

So you have been forgiven?

Hello everyone

I have been so busy at work I haven't been logging on.  It's monthend here...I can't believe it's month end already.  They are cutting all of our temps at the end of the week and I don't think its a good idea.  But no one listens to me.

I have nothing going on all week till Friday.  After work we are going out for a drink to say good bye to our wonderful temps.  I would love to keep them all.  Then I am going to buy my new TV and Blu-Ray DVD player!!!  My friend is coming with me to help me pick a good one and then he's coming to hook it up for me!!!.  I am sooooo excited.  I can't wait.

My daughter made more decisions about her wedding.  It's starting to be fun now.  For so long she didn't want to talk about it.  She was stressed with school and finals.

Christine- you were asking about the garden she is having her ceremony.  All I know is that the university has botanical gardens and she wanted to be married in them.  They are supposed to be very pretty.

Well I better get back to work/lunch.  Have a nice day!!!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
Randy- I know what you mean. Technically my son is Aspergers as well, and I know what you mean about when we were young there was no diagnosis. I'm a 46 ADHD - Aspie adult but I love life and meeting new folks... (At least I *try* to make each new experience something fun).

I am glad you all get my silly sense of humor! I enjoy being supportive of other folks but do have a nutty sense of humor.

I hope those that are having T-Storms don't get anything to severe and I hope those of us in the hot zone cool down. (99 today! )

We stopped at the Animal Shelter on the way home from base...BIG Mistake! LOL, now we have in an adoption application for an adorable little Toy Terrier named Angel!   I hoped we are chosed to give this wonderful little girl a home. I always believe sometimes the right animals come into our lives for a reason.

Have a good evening all!
Warmly,
Jackie

Hello, it's very late and I'm just now getting here. But I thought I best write something.

Yesterday I trimmed bushes. Yes they are bald. But now I can see. The only animal suffering from the loss of those limbs are the birds. But I figured there's a blue spruce right next too it. They can have that one. So I did 2 bushes, and trust me I had my handy dandy lawn chair, and my lovely glass of icewater. An yes I did go through 2 glasses of ice water.

You have heard people say, by sweating your getting rid of bad impurities in your pores. Well trust me I have NO bad impurities left in my pores. I worked up more sweat than 3 men. An you know what, even though I was sweating and thinking when I do the other 2 bushes that I decided needed to be done, #1 bring a towel. #2 this sweating stuff isn't so bad. I felt energized and proud of myself for doing it. An I was careful. If I felt tired, I sat down, looked at my bush and thought hmm, I need to take some off from there. An I drank my water and enjoyed my bush. LOL

Since it's been so hot, I haven't been walking down the street with my dog, she can't handle that she's a collie and pants inside the house. So today I went to the YMCA, enjoyed it very much. Even though my first love is the water. I did the weights, at a level of 30 lbs. Enjoyed it very much. Then I moved over to this scary machine that your legs go back and forth like your sking. I will keep working on that one, I did 5 min worth and the sweat poured off of me. I'm like holy cow. Once I conquer that machine I will figure out the step machine. Now that one could be harder than the glider machine. But I'm doing it, and I'm not going to be intimidated by them. I will figure them out. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Well I hope you all have a safe Wednesday!
Sharon
