Good morning Illinois! Yeah, a great day ahead weather wise. Well this household is defrosting the basement freezer. It is well overdue and it cannot wait. Actually it is being done as we speak as it has been emptied and turned off yesterday. Later on we are going to church and then back home to a party on the other side of us for 2 graduations.

What is going on in your world?

Chris

ps I found a bunch of info on Vit D yesterday and posted it in a seperate thread.

Good Morning, I hope no one was caught in the storms yesterday. We had been in the pool, and by the time we got out and put stuff away, it was getting black. Then last night about 10 we had another one.The only good thing about them is, we don't have to water.

this morning I am painting the accent wall in the Rec/Living. I also would like to get our refrig. in the shed cleaned up for the summer.

i think i am getting a summer cold. Nose is stuffed up.

have a great day, and stay safe.

Huggers,
Lisa

Hello everyone

I had fun yesterday....it was soooo hot.  I did end up getting sick.  I had a migraine till 4am this morning.  I still feel a bit nauseous.  We were still at Navy Pier when the storm rolled in.  I enjoyed it.  We were at the ferris wheel when it started so we went in.  I was sitting eating chicken quesadillas and drinking margarittas watching the waves on Lake Michigan.  It was relaxing.  The play was great.  We walked down Michigan Avenue for awhile too.  I spent so much money.  I brought $250 and I spent it all!!!

I am going to just take it really easy today.  usually the day after a migraine my brain is ver tender (if that makes any sense)I told my friend it's like a bruise on my brain..hahaha!!!

Well enjoy your Saturday.

Good morning!
We had some good storms up here as well.  Most of my friends lost power; Fox Lake, Lindenhurst, but not me.
Yesterday I made my initial apt with the nutritionist and my psych eval.  My hubby said he wanted to go with me to the nutritionist as he wants to be involved and support as much as possible.
Today, I am hoping to return some items to Wal mart, get some cleaning done and who knows what else.
Hope all have a good day

Good morning Chris and the rest of Illinois!

I was caught in the second storm last night.  After the first one was over, it was beautiful out and I ran into Freeport for some errands.  While in the first store, the sedcond storm rolled in and I got soaked getting into my car.  I had 3 other stops and after getting back in my car after the last one, it started HAILING!  I was soaked to the skin when I finally got home and it slowed down.  CRAZY!

The sun is shining today and I am going out to ready the yard for my dinner guests.  We will be having the "wienie party".  I am going to start the grill and a fire in the firepit so people can cook their dogs either way they like.  I am anxious to try these new Oscar Meyer angus beef dogs without nitrates or nitrites.  I don't usually eat hot dogs, but these sound good.  Dogs and watermelon, what a dinner!

Everyone have a fabulous day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Let me know how you like the new hot dogs.  I always get Hebrew National because they don't have nitrates or bi-products.

Those do sound good.  I am just home from helping put 8000 weiners in buns and wrap them for DadFest at Willow tonite.  There will be 18000 more for tomorrow.

Dave and I were talking on the way home from the Creek who did the weiners. You answered it - volunteers! Yeah God for you and Sherri!

Our great Harvest staff, a lot of volunteers and even about 10 temps.  We were done with the 8000 in less than an hour.  Likely could have fone without the temps but guess they thought this event too important to take a chance on volunteers deciding not to show.
