Friday Roll Call

Hello everyone

No work for me today!!!  I am going to Chicago today.  I will be leaving soon.  We are taking the train because I don't drive in Chicago.  I will have a whole day of fun.  I just hope I will be OK in the heat and humidity.  I tend to get sick when I get overheated.

Crystal, just drink plenty of water while there. Try not to get sticker shock at the prices because it is high. Last week in Millenium Park I looked at the price of water and it was $4.25; almost as much as a hot dog which was $4.50. Bring as much with as you can carry.

I am at the salt mines with very little to do, thank you Lord. We as a department are having a Black Hawk Celebration Lunch with brats and all the fixin's. I brought Taco Salad. I love Taco Salad!

Need to get my tickets done and then my meeting minutes from yesterday.

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

Have a great time in the city!  I LOVE visiting downtown, so much to see and do.  It can be very expensive, but there are deals.  Chris is right, lots of water!

I am "working" today.  I use the quotes because it is Friday and usually very, very slow.  I will probably stay here most of the day since my other co-worker took the day off.  Liv is busy until about 3:30, so I do not have to hurry.

I am having an Oscar Meyer "Thrill of the Grill" hot dog party tomorrow.  I "won" it through www.houseparty.com and the party package has LOTS of cool stuff, including the famous "wienie whistles".  We will light the grill and a fire and cook dogs for the neighborhood.  They will bring dishes and we will call it dinner.  The kids will enjoy playing with the whistles, frisbees and balls that came in the package.  This is my first "House Party" and sounds like fun.

I just finished my DGD quilt for Christmas. It is all tucked into the closet so little eyes can't see it.

Crystal, have a blast i n the loop today. We haven't done it in years.

Planning on a few chores today, and the store.

It's hot, so I know the pool is in the plan for this  afternoon.

Hello everyone and Happy Friday to you!


Sorry I didn't respond yesterday, I slept just about all day yesterday. I was
exhausted for some reason. So I slept.

Today I feel better. I just had my lovely bowl of cream of wheat. Getting ready
to take some vitamins. Thought I best tell you that I am alive and well.

I'm going to work on my Vitamin D today, in other words I'm sitting outside in the sun. Supposedly I'm Vitamin D deficient. So instead of saying I'm going to work on my tan, i'm working on my vitamin d. When I was growing up I hated to lay in the sun, now for some reason it's not so bad.
Good thing is, I can get some color to me before my son's wedding.

I have a few errands to do today, and that's it. So I'm just taking it easy an reading my latest Nora Roberts book.

I hope they are wrong but I just brought in all of my plants and planters. 70 mile an hour winds? I have to get out and get Cheryl from the train and hope she makes it.

I did not know about this yesterday. Did anyone?

I went out this morning to take Cheryl to the train then went to Uptown Cafe for coffee and joined some people I did not know. Stopped at AutoZone next and have begun to work throgh reasons I get a squeal when turning right. Cigar store next to AutoZone for some relaxation. Walmart for Proteins. Meijer for unsweetened frozen fruit to add to vanilla protein. Also, a toaster and a microwave egg poacher at Meijer. CUL8R if we do not get blown away.

Yes, actually they did predict the coming weather.
