Good Morning Illinois,

The Hawks did it! They brought the cup home. Way to go.

I have managed to walk 3 days this week so far. I am trying for at least 6.

Last night I managed to find a new wasp nest on the bottom of my porch swing. This is the first time in yesrs that I have gotten bit. Needless to say, my knight in shining armor sprayed the nest, and removed it.

Today, I have a few errands to run. What is on your agenda. Who is going to Christine and Daves Saturday? I am looking forward to it. I don't think I have seen anyone since Pauls last fall.

Hello everyone

Well it's Thursday...week is almost over!!!

Yesterday we had a meeting regarding the 5% they took away from our salaries last year.  A lot of people were expecting to have that given back to us.  I never thought I would see that money again.  Well we were told that the money will not be given back to us.  I guess in this case my low expectations or pessimistic attitude helped me out because I was not upset.  Oh well, I'm looking forward to my bonuses!!!!

My daughter found another job.  She starts at the end of this month.  Her other job had no benefits, and she's not on my medical insurance any more so this worried her.  More importantly she has a degree in Environmental Science and a big tree hugger, so she had issues with working for BP.  She works at the university but the project she works on is funded by BP(her pay checks come from BP).  Ok so I understand her way of thinking.  She doesn't want to work for a company that is causing the worst environmental disaster in our history.  I love her ethics.

Well I hope everyone can get outside sometime today and enjoy the beautiful weather.     

Crystal, I agree with Amanda too. Shes a bright young lady who knows whats right and wrong. You raised her right.

Good morning Lisa, Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

I am happy that the cup is in Chicago also!  Not much of a sports fan, but I am always happy when Chicago wins a championship.

Way to go on the walking Lisa!  Take advantage of this great weather and keep it up!

I will not be at Chris & Dave's and will miss seeing all of you that do make it.  With Liv's surgery and Riley's birthday and the boys being out of town, I just could not swing it.  Maybe next time.  Have fun and think of me missing you.

Crystal, I applaud your daughter for standing up for her beliefs!!!    Especially in the age, I think she is AWESOME for being able to do so.  I have friends down in the Gulf Coast and they say it is terrible and they feel like there is no help and no end in sight.

I am getting things wrapped up here at work to leave to head for Madison.  Liv wants to stop at Trader Joe's before heading to the hospital.  I hate the "unknown" factor that comes along with any surgical procedure.  Since she is not scheduled until 4, who KNOWS if they will be on time, and how long we will have to be there.  Oh well......it sure isn't like the old days when they used to let you stay over and they took care of you.  Even if she is not ready to leave until later at night, we will still be heading home.  It will be a long day for me.  She does not seem to be nervous and that is good.  We are 98% sure that there will not be any problems, but it's the 2% that nags at me.

I don't know if I will be staying home with her tomorrow.  It all depends on how she feels.

 Good Evening Everyone!

Well the game last night was super exciting!  I had my cats hiding because I became such an enthusiastic fan!  They just dont realize that I am cheering at the TV and not yelling at them.    I was hoping that the nail biter would help my niece go into labor (her due date is today) but no such luck.  No baby yet.  

I plan to go to Chris's on Saturday.  Dont know who else will be there besides you and your daughter Lisa.  May be a small group.
