Good Morning on the first day of the unoffical start to summer.

Well, since I played all day yesterday, with a road trip over to Michigan,  today I am getting some outside work done. That is if Mother Nature agrees.

I would like to get 4 more pots planted with Geramiums, tradional red of course, so when we can plant the new bushes, I will have a few pots to fill in between them.

Anyone with plans away from home today?

We have tons of leftovers in the frig, so we aren't going to grill out today. Keeping it simple.

Tomorrow I am heading to Woodfield with my youngest, and my Granddaughter to look for a "prom" dress for her.

Stay safe and remember our  fallen servicemen and women today.

Huggers,
LISA

Hello everyone

Ahhhh...three day weekends, ya got to love'em

I am going to the movies today to see Sex and The City 2 and out to eat.  There's a new movie coming out soon called Splice...I would like to see that movie.  Other than that I have no plans.

I think I will be as lazy as possible today.  I hope everyone enjoys their cookouts today!!!

We are on our way to the local parade. Then down to an Italian restaurant six blocks away to listen to a local band.

Home afterward to do whatever

Good morning illinois,  its raining here near Rockford, Thunder and maybe Lighting but Have not looked outside.

Its me with my 2 teen boys today, my Dear Husband went to a car show (rain or shine) Maybe we will head to Rockford to do some shoping and see a movie.

I got my picture to work in the avatar, needed my 17 yo son to help me this morning.  Why are they so much better with computers then I am.

Have a great day and remember the reason we are celebrating today.

Sherry, I hope the rain stays up that way instead of down here, but I don't think that will happen.

The kids always know more then we do. My 12 year old DGG, told me yesterday that she will show me how to do something when she is with me later in the week. How did we survive before computers?

Sherry, good to "see" you. Hey, if you are interested there is going to be a Meet and Greet on the 12th at my house in Itasca. Family & spouses are welcome also. Look back a couple of days for the thread. All pre op, PO and non surgical weight loss friends are welcome.

I am starting very slow today.  Did not get any planters for the balcony rails.  Found a nice variety of pepper plants at Menard's as well as some nice mater plants for my topsy turveys.

So you have been forgiven?

Good morning Lisa and the rest of Illinois!

How'd the turkey burgers turn out for your Lisa?

I am not sure what we are doing today.  We have had a pretty busy weekend. Maybe relaxing is in order.

Firday, the kids and I went up to Madison for "the World's Largest Brat Fest" and it was fun.  Johnsonville brats, hot dogs or veggie brats are only $1.50 each, and beverages (soft) are the same.  They have 4 stages of music and the usual festival/carnival stuff.  It was fun to people watch, listen to music and have a cheap dinner.

Saturday, I attended my neice's bridal shower and barbequed with the neighbors.  Todd made fire.

Yesterday, Todd fixed the brakes on my car, changed the oil and I got the rest of the flowers planted.  Then, we went to a barbeque at some friend's house where we tried elk steak.  it was good.  Very tender and lean.

I will be making a rhubarb sorbet today and we will be having left overs.

Everyone have a splendid day and remember to thank a vet.

Tell someone that you love them!

 Hello Everyone

Well I have had a great weekend so far.  Saturday afternoon I went up to Fashion Bug to get some summer clothes and came home with a bag full!  Today I have to take 2 tops back because I think they are too big.  One I had tried on and it just did not hit me that it was too big as it was the "right" size.  The other I had not tried on as it was buy one and get another at $10 and I had an uneven amount and I was going by the brand name.  OOPS.

Then I went and got some baby gifts for my niece.  Boy is she HUGE!  Of course a bikini did not help hide the baby!

Yesterday I had a great day in Antioch at my sisters.  We went boating with the other thousands of people on the chain of lakes.  It was a perfect boating day and it was crowded on the water but beautiful!  Only a few idiots out there.  The shore patrol was very active as there was a death last weekend.

It was great seeing the girls again, but sad leaving not knowing if and when I will see them again.  I am trying to think positive that it will happen as planned.  They are growing up so fast!    Kathy and George are so excited about the baby.  It is cute.  They made a  cast of her pregnant belly and brought that with them.  It is hilarious.  Only a couple of weeks to go -- if even that long.  Baby will be here soon!

Hope everyone has a great day.  Please remember those who fought or are fighting  to protect our freedoms for us.  They are true heros.
