Wednesday Roll Call

Hello everyone

I'm already wishing for the weekend.....

This weekend I don't have a whole lot of plans.  I do have new blinds and curtains I plan on hanging in my bedroom this weekend.

Yesterday a couple of people were talking about taking Alli (that diet pill that makes you have diarrhea if you eat fattening stuff) this stuff makes you lose 2-3 pounds a week.  Then they said well we can't be as luck as Crystal and get WLS.  Then I said "I don't know what your talking about but I only lose 1-2 pounds a week...if I'm lucky.  It's not like I'm losing 10 pounds a week!!!  They think it's a magic pill or something.  Oh well misconceptions are all over the place.  It really doesn't bother me much.

I have a nice Wednesday.

Good Morning,

I thought that today would be my last day of work for a bit, but I am working tomorrow. Then off for 6 weeks.

I have a neigbor that thinks that way too. She thought it was to expensive for WLS, so she swears that she could lose more then m and keep it off. I know she has gained back the weight she lost, plus a few more pounds.
There is no sense trying to convince people that this isn't a easy way out. Just smile and know, we are losing weight the right way.

My knees are starting to bother me again. I guess it is time to think about getting a shot. I will get an appointment for  sometimes in june.

Have a great and safe day.

Huggers,
LISA

Good morning Crystal, Lisa and the rest of Illinois!

Lisa is right...people will believe what they want, no point in trying to change others.

Sorry to hear about your knees, Lisa.  Hope the shot helps.

I am working until early afternoon today.  I have Liv here with me and need to take her to her pre-op appointment in Madison this afternoon.  (For her next ear surgery, June 10).  We will stop at FlatTop for her birthday meal before we come home.  I hope to get a trip to Joe's in too, but we will see how the time goes.

Both my kids are done with school for the year and next year, Liv will be a Freshman, which means I no longer have "little" kids.  When Amber was their age, we had the "little ones" and I will NOT be starting over again.  It is almost time to start thinking about empty-nesting!

Due to the storm, I did not get anything planted yesterday, so it may just have to wait until the weekend.  We will see.

Everyone have a spectacular day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Up at 4:30 this morning but knew I was not going to stay up so decided to let someone else start roll call.  I really want and need some work but am not sure if my sleep patterns are going to like many jobs.  I think I need to move into the city.

Randy

So you have been forgiven?

Crystal, I was doing some surfing throught he Mayo Cllinic website recently and did a few searches and decided to plug in "weight loss drugs" and I ended up with this http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/search/search there is some great info to arm yourself with for future comments like what you received.

My doctor each and every time he does his pre surgical seminar will talk about Alii and what the warnings are on the box about the side effects and expected weight loss. I sure would not want to go through that. Dave took the prescription version of it and he had the runs  . . .  etc need I say more? It is not a pleasant drug. In addition to that the expected weight loss is only 3# in a year or 8# in a year with diet and exercise,

Been busy with life in general. All things except the flowers are planted outside.

Good news to share is that "JULIE" was here today to flag and mark the yard for buried cables etc. and we are going to guess our neighbors also. We have electric and phone buried. The group of us are also looking into adding additional drains into the yard to connect to the drain the village is putting in. Update to follow in the coming weeks.
