Good Morning Illinois,

I woke up at 4:15 this morning. I really don't know why. So, I figured I would start this Roll Call.

It is foggy this morning. I am sure it will burn off and become a beautiful day.

The only plans I have for today are to clean up the kitchen a bit, wash the mud off the new sidewalks, take a walk, and go to a friends 94th birthday. I think I will make a batch of Chocolate Chip cookies for him.
Tomorrow I have no plans except to soak up the sun.

What are you doing this last weekend before Memorial Day? What are your plans for the coming week? Any big plans for the summer?

Stay safe.

Huggers,
LISA

Hello everyone

I'm up bright and early today...even though I didn't go to sleep till 2am.  I just spent the evening with my daughter.  It was really nice.  She found my stash of bridal magazines.  Oh well she will get over it.

I can't sleep because I have all these plans going through my head.  30-40 people will be showing up in 9 hours!!!!  Thank god the weather looks nice today.

My daughter, fiance and two of her friends are here and my house is a disaster...I will not worry about that or I will try not to worry about that.

Well I guess I will get going.  Well I hope everyone will have a great weekend
.

Crystal, enjoy the day, no one will remember that the house is messed up. That is what happens when there are 4 extra people spending the night. Have a good , no great, party.

Lisa, I was awake at about the same time but it was because there were some discourteous guests near us that were loud.

Off to breakfast here in a short while then the car show is right across the street from the restaurant in the parking lot for Noah's Ark water park, real convenient for us. Like down in IL our weather will be similar but the weather services say we will be a few degrees warmer. The sun is burning off the fog as I type

We have a balcony that is situated that we can see the classic cars driving down the street so it has been neat "eye candy" for us to see the different hopped up and restored cars go past us. We can enjoy seeing the cars without the expense the owners had to fix them up.

Plan on getting in more walking like yesterday. We clocked close to 5 miles on my gps pedometer. Need to get moving

I did get my walk in thsi morning, and I hit a new goal. I walked 3 blocks farther then my first goal. I am hoping to be able to walk out to Mcdonalds by the end of the summer, Its about 9 blocks further. Have a great walking day. The fog still hasn't lifted here.

Great goal Lisa.

Volunteer work, license renewal, shopping, a few plants, planting for me.  Replacing the plants in the Topsy Turvey's and maybe a couple of planters on the rails.

Five miles, Christine, wowsers.

Randy

So you have been forgiven?

Randy, it sounds like you have a full agenda too.

Too full and just realizing without reason.

I volunteered with Sherry in the kitchen for three hours chopping veggies and I am dead.  We did go get the tag and wash the car as well as stop by at a local dealer to see if we won a car.  We won a lifestyle certificate so now we will get to figure out what that is.  Sherry took vacation next week so we can do the plants next week one day.  Any suggestion on the places to get planters and plants.  Lowe's is the best we know so would like to hear more.  We may get our wind and go back out though.

Randy, if you are saying Harvest kitchen - I miss seeing Sherry there. We get to the Creek Green Room but only for the dinner meal for the stage team and not the lunch meal. Once a month we serve dinner in the tunnel for the Lakeside meal before worship on Wedn.

There is a Home Depot not too far from you on Meacham in Elk Grove Village. Meacham/Biesterdfield. They have a nice garden center. There is also a Wally Mart about 1/4 south of there at Meacham/Nerge that is pretty good, but I think that the Home Depot is better.

I know of some pricey garden centers if you are interested. Bloomingdale and Itasca.
