Friday Roll Call

It's Friday folks! YAAHOO!

So far so good, got out of town with not too much traffic. The I90/94 traffic for us is always a nail bitter, then the traffic near Elgin and then past Madison is usually horrible also and it was.

We are here and are looking forward to seeing the cars at the car show. There usually are close to 700 classic cars here in various forms of restoration, most pristine. Really looking forward to the walking that we usually do.

Hello everyone

Friday is finally here!!!!  YEAH!!!!  I will be fidgety all day today. 

My Amanda comes home for a visit today.  I am going to take her out to eat at Red Robin, she likes their veggie burger.  The weather looks nice this weekend.  I'm not sure what we could do Sunday.  

I am at work and I'm doing double duty.  My friend is out of work after foot surgery.  I'm finding it hard to juggle both jobs.  
 
Christine- I would love to get out of town for a couple of days.  I will one of these days.  Enjoy your mini vacation.

You and Amanda are going to have a great time, I am sure! I looked at the weather for my area and we are supposed to have sun and warm temps. I am sure it will be similar for you.

We are enjoying the time away already, so relaxing on our hotel patio and we got a good walk in after we got here.

I was vegetarian for a while at her age.

You get really strange looks when you order a whopper, no meat, extra tomatoes and extra pickles.

I thought you were going on a tropical holiday with a friend????  Did I miss it?

They were suppose to put oil on the road this motning, but with the rain yesterday, i don't see any movement where they park. At least, we now have black dirt in the yard, and it looks nice.

I was able yesterday, to get my garden finished. Hubert was able to put in  the veggies, and fence. Then we left for Bloomington and went to Sams Club. I was only going to get 4 things, brie, babybel cheese ,sweetner and string cheese. I ended up spending over $80. This morning I need to get to Krogers  and pick up a few more things.

Hopefully, I can get out in the sun today, if it clears  up.

I just realized, I only have 3 more work days, then I am off for 5 weeks . I have a todo list, so I hope I am able to get it all done.

Chris, you and Dave have a wonderful walking weekend.

BTW Crystal, I love your new pic on FB. You and Amanda do look so much alike. Your nails look good too.

I am having withdrawal from my container garden already. I know what you say about Sam's abd the money you can spend. We try not to deviate from our list. Though we see a lot of good protein small snacks when we go there that we have not had before.

After five years of trying to get down this road I really feel now that I am on the feeder road to a major highway.  In Texas I had tried several routes to getting the surgery but with all of my previous surgeries and infections the doctors did not want to touch me and all of the insurance companies, state agencies and legal help I really felt like Humpty Dumpty as all the kings men could not me back together again.  Thank you to all of you for your virtual help in helping me once I moved here.  A special thank you to Christine and Dave for your non virtual world help as well and to the others of you I met at the Kane center support meeting and the pizza place pre op.  It was still what seemed like an eternal process as I went through the year of medically supervised weight loss without knowing if I would be approved and then as I was approved and it turned out the doc I was approved for had left that hospital and then the drama of finding another doctor and his really not wanting to do my surgery either.  I know my surgery means I will be taking supplements forever and eating in a way that seems strange to others.  Especially waiters and waitresses but I am beginning to feel normal at that and thinking of the folks who eat full meals when out to eat as strange.  So much more fun to order a meal and sample from what I will be taking home for another meal or two.

I am working about 3/4 of a day today, then going out to get the kids, dropping Liv off at her friend's house and David and I are heading to Milwaukee.  I am really looking forward to this mom-David time, as it is usually me and Liv, while the boys are out.  He is growing into a nice young man.  If we could only get him to stop procrastinating.......

My plan is to get my flowers in this weekend.  Mostly in containers.  I just have to decide on a color scheme.

Randy,  isn't it amazing that you are now on the other side?  I know you once thought you would never be here.  I am so happy that it is going so great for you.  

I am home again today.  My head felt like it was going to explode when I got up and I am extremely dizzy.  I have a call into my doctor to try and get some antibiotics.  He can't see me today.    I just hope I dont have to go the whole weekend feeling like this.  I thought I was getting better.
