Good Morning,

I hope everyone had a great Monday. It is really gray and windy this morning. I thought we were done with sweaters and such. Oh well, we will be complaining about the heat within a month or so!

Anyone have any great summer plans? We are staying home I think. I really want to get the yard in shape, new landscapeing, and such to gp with the new yard and sidewalks.

I will be off to work shortly. I know we will be busy today. A lot of shutoffs with Com Edison, Nicor, and Amerin. Of course, everyone is surprized when it happens to them,. PAY YOUR BILLS and it won't happen!

Have a great day, stay safe.
Huggers,
LISA

Hello everyone

It is a terrible gray day today.  I hear it will clear up later but tomorrow the rain will be back again.  I hope the weather will be nice this Saturday and next Saturday.  So far so good.

I have no Summer plans.  Just to enjoy the weather.

Nancy- I wonder what will happen to me because I didn't fill in the phone# portion of my census...I left that blank.  I felt like I filled out the form why would they need to call me.  Now I'm glad I didn't give them my phone#.

Lisa- why would people pay their bills??? That's what LIHEAP is for...I'm terrible.  I know people that play the system for everything they can get.  Now our state is near bankruptcy.  I guess I get irritated when I work my butt off and there are people that don't even try.

Well I better get going.  Have a nice day

I agree with you Crystal. That could be a new concept that people haven't heard about.

Good morning LIsa and the rest of Illinois!

I am working on this gray day.  It kind of matches my mood, although my mood is much better today than yesterday.  I hope it continues to improve.

I guess I am just feeling unloved and under-appreciated, both at work and at home.  I am also really starting to feel the financial implications of working 20% less and that 20% cut in pay.  It seems like we have SO many things that we need.....my car needs brakes and struts, we ALL need dentist visits (no dental insurance), David needs things for his Jamboree trip, Liv needs $$ for her summer activities, the house needs LOTS of things.  I am not even sure about spending $$ for plants and such.....heck, I even get hollered at when I buy groceries!  On top of that, we DO have lots of summer plans, but I am not sure how we are going to pay for any of them.  We DO pay our bills though, AND on time!!!!!  Some days it just seems like such a struggle.  Thanks for letting me vent....it really helps to get it out.

I KNOW that things will work out....they always do.  I am just frustrated with the feelings of constant struggle.

I am also struggling with my weight.  I have gained a few pounds, and need to get them off in addition to the other 20-30 that I never lost to start with.  I KNOW what to do......."back to basics", but it seems to be hard to actually DO it.  I need a good kick in the behind, I guess.

I have been walking at lunch, sporadically though.  I think I will start with one step at a time.....I will try to commit to walking each day.  Now......if my boys would remember what they did with the cord to my bike!  I really liked using the bike/trainer and they lost the cord when they moved it after my last surgery.

Anyway----enough of the pity-pot for me.  I DOES help to write it all out here to friends that understand and are supportive.

I hope you all have a wonderful, lovely day, despite the crappy weather!

Dawn-

I'm sorry about your problems.  Especially the ungrateful family.  One day they will be grateful when they think back on all that you do for them.  As far as money problems, sometimes I am grateful that I don't own a home.  If something needs to be done I just call the landlord.

Vent as much as you like.  You never complain...you deserve a good pitty party once in awhile.

Dawn, I understand where you are coming from because I lived like that all the years I was married. It's certainly OK to vent and I am certainly willing to listen. It is so frustrating to never feel on top of things! As you said, all things will work out! Hold that thought!

Morning, Lisa and Illinois,

I agree with you on the weather but I look at it that I don't have to water any of the flowers.  We put the garden in yesterday; probably too early but I wanted to get it in before we got all this rain this week and it was a mud hole.  Looks like next week will be in the 70's so hopefully we'll be ok.

I've got a busy day today, went to the store then the gym already this morning.  I got my toffee bars made for garden club tonight and am going to a luncheon and concert in Joliet with a friend.  Then home to make 2 pies for my Mom and off to garden club.  I really don't like these busy days.

We're heading to Arthur/Arcola tomorrow for the day with friends so I can relax on the ride down.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Lynn

 Evening Everyone!

It sure was a drab day weather wise today.  I thought as I headed to work, it is not often that I wear sweatshirts to work in May!  But they feel good when it is this chilly.  The weather is not too friendly.  Our sales center in Norman OK was damaged by yesterday's tornado's so it is out of commission for at least a few days.  I am glad we are not dealing with that!

Work was a zoo today.  There were interviews going on all day.  People showed up for the job fair over an hour before it started!  We have another job fair tomorrow at our center in Ottawa.  So our area benefits from the layoffs in Wyoming.   I had people sitting with me all day today.

I need to get in to get a shot in my hand.  I woke up this morning barely able to straighten out my hand.  I called my dr and they told me it was too soon but then called back after I left for work and told me I can get the shot.  I HATE arthritis.  It is amazing how much the joint in your thumb controls your entire hand!

Hope everyone has a great evening!
