Hello everyone

I had a nice day of running around yesterday.  By the time I got home and relaxed it was 4pm.  so I was running all day.  Needless to say I didn't eat all day (not even breakfast) so I grabbed some cottage cheese out of the fridge because I was feeling a bit light headed.

I went to Fashion Bug to find a nice top for graduation.  I found a really nice top for $11 and I got a necklace and earrings to mathc for $5.  So I will be wearing a pair of black dress capris, a blue blouse, black sandals, black purse and blue necklace and earrings.  I haven't been to Fashion Bug in 12 years.  mainly, because my ex's wife worked there.  I didn't want to go shopping where she worked.  She would see what size clothes I bought.  Stupid reason I know.

I got some good deals at Kohl's.  I got coconut candles for $1.47.  I bought more jewelry.  I guess I am feeling better about myself.  Because all of the sudden I want accessorize my outfits.  I never cared to do that before.  So I am starting to buy necklaces and earrings. So I walked out of Kohls with a purse, 4 necklaces, earrings, and 3 coconut candles for $52....not bad.

I got my haircut and I love it.  I will be going to this lady all of the time.  She is more pricey then I'm used to paying but I get better results.  She charged $37.  I also decided to get some highlights in my hair.  So I will be going next weekend.  I guess more of feeling good about myself.  My toes are pretty.  The place I go to get my pedicure is right downstairs from me.  She always gives me a great deal.  So I got my pedicure and eyebrow waxing for $28.

I went to Walmart to buy my daughter some stuff.  I got her a blender and a microwave as a graduation/housewarming gift.  She had a small list of items that she and her fiancee needs for their new place.  So I thought I would get her some stuff off her list as a gift.

Then I also went to Home depot to get my gardening supplies.  If I do say so myself everything looks really cute.

Today I am going to the flea market for purses.  I want to get a green purse and pink purse.  Then out to eat and to the movies to see A Nightmare on Elm Street.  Another full day of fun, fun, fun.

Well Have a wonderful day.

Good Morning Crystal, and All.

It sounds like you had a great day yesterday. I know it always make me feel better when I find what I am looking for. Have another one today.

No shopping for me yesterday. I did do some errands, and got more flowers. Oh, I guess I did go shopping.

We started trimming our bushes yesterday afternoon. I think I am going to have them removed and put evergreens back in. The whole area on the side odf the house looks neglected.

Not sure if anyone got hit with bad storms last night. We got a bit of rain, and heard a few claps of thunder. And, a few lightning shows.

Today, I am going to drive down to Elpaso to get pork chop sandwichs from the Rainbow Girls. Its a fund raiser for them, and since my GD is a member, Grandmas do what they can.

Tomorrow, is a stay at home day.

Have a great day and be safe.

Date night last night and we went to see Date Night.  The theatre seems like a much friendlier place when you are not afraid the walk to and from may end at the emergency room.

Pepper plants fared well but lost all growth on the tomato plants and will wait a week to see if the little stalks that are left are still alive.

So you have been forgiven?

Afternoon, Crystal and Illinois,

Sounds like you had a fun day yesterday, Crystal.

My running up to the arboretum to pick up my plants didn't quite go like planned.  We sat in the car for 2 1/2 hours in line waiting to pick them up.  I couldn't believe how calm my husband stayed, but there wasn't much we could do.  I learned my lesson, I'll never do that again!

We enjoyed the move Oceans but would wait till it comes out on DVD or TV.  It was very interesting but not worth the $14 we spent and it was so hard smelling the popcorn.  My husband didn't get any which I thought was considerate of him because that was always our thing to share a tub.

Walked outside for about 1 1/2 hours this morning which felt great, now I'm baking a rhubarb pie and a cherry pudding to take to our granddaughter's birthday.  We're also going to cook walleye and salmon for them.  I think I'm just going to take one of my ham and cheese roll-ups with cream cheese for me to eat.  Those go down so easy and really taste good.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Lynn

 Good Afternoon Everyone!

Wow Crystal,  you are having fun!  It is the type of thing I would love to do! Not much happening for me this weekend.  I will go and buy some flowers.  One man does a huge fundraiser for the cancer society,.  He brings in truckloads of racks of plants.  He is a cancer survivor and this is his way of giving back.  The plants are always great prices and very nice and you know your purchases are going to a great cause!  He brings the plants in from Michigan so they are sometimes different from our local plants.

I also need to do the usual weekend chores.  So I will have plenty to do.  Plus I will play on the computer --- facebook here I come.  The cats and I have already had our snuggle fest.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Home again, home again jiggity jig.

We just returned home after being gone overnight to Oakbrook Terrace. I won tickets to the play Ragtime. It was a great story and evening. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn right there near the theater. Today we walked Oakbrook Mall. I used to go there when I was a kid, man it sure has grown. Oakbrook Mall was the first of its kind in the Chicago area way back when it was built. I think that Randhurst in Mt Prospect was the first enclosed mall of its kind when it was built, now how sad it has been torn down. Picked up a cookbook for patients with colitis and Crohn's. I had also won a gift card for Yorktown Mall and a restaurant near by. So needless to say our feet are tired from shopping and our tummies are full and I have left overs for a snack and lunch tomorrow.

Going to go watch the Derby here in a short while. It sure is messy there with the rain in that area. It had rained last year also during Derby time. I remember this because we spent our anniversary in Louisville last year one week after the Derby.
