Friday Roll Call

Hello everyone

I am having a nice Friday morning.  I have watched a couple episodes of Monk and drinking a glass of Propel.  It's a beautiful day outside. 

I finally took all but one pair of my fat pants and got rid of them.  I haven't wanted to get rid of them because I keep telling myself I might gin weight.  Also, for the first time I ordered my groceries from Peapod.  I read this place is good for two reasons.  You are less likely to buy items that you shouldn't because of hunger and there isn't as much impulse buying.  I also bought all organic.  After watching that movie Food Inc, I wanted to switch to all organic.  It's more expensive but I will fit it in my budget. 

Well at 10am I have pedicure!!! and then at 1pm I get my hair cut!!!  In between I will go shopping at walmart, Kohls (I have two awesome cupons) and Fashion Bug.

Crystal, sounds like you have a wonderful day planned, enjoy it, you deserve it!  Good for you getting rid of the old clothes, I bet it was hard.

I'm heading up to the Morton Arboretum first thing to pick up some plants I ordered then stopping at Walmart and Aldi on the way home.  We're going to see the movie Oceans tonight.

Got a busy weekend, Goose Lake garage sales tomorrow and our Granddaughters birthday then a bridal shower Sunday.

As for me today I am taking Tyler to get his braces off!  He's very excited and so am I!  Then he goes back to school and I come home and work on more homework.  I only have 2 weeks left of classroom then it's on t my externship for a month!
This weekend will be homework homework and more homework, and on Sunday Tyler and I are going to a funeral for one of his friends who took his own life on Wednesday.  It's such a sad and tragic thing and while I didn't know this boy, I want Tyler to know that I am there for him always.  (this was a fairly new friend Tyler made at his church youth group and he was only 14)

Hope to get my results from my parathyroid scan I had done  yesterday, but I'm not holding my breath!  lol

Other than that, not much going on here!

When Amanda got her braces off I got her a big smiley face cookie cake and a bunch of things she couldn't eat with braces...taffy apples, bubble gum...stuff like that.  She was surprised.  She had braces on from 8th grade till 11th grade.  She was happy to get them off.

that's a neat idea, maybe after I take him back to school, I'll run to Wal Mart and make up a little basket with goodies.  Thanks for the idea.  He's having a tough week with everything else going on, so this might help a little!

TGIF!  It is sunny, and promises to be warm. Unlike you and Lynn, I really don't have any plans for today except get some flowers and possibly the tomato and pepper plants. I am going to try and spend as much time as I can outside today. I need a mental health day.

Crystal, have fun shopping. You will never gain the weight back where you would fit into those big pants again. I still find a pair now and then that have been hidingin my closet. I can now laugh at them and compare them to the size I am now . I still wear my size 4x nightgowns, just because I love seeing where I was, and where I am now.

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

I am leaving work soon to begin our "Girl's Birthday Weekend" in Chi-Town!  I have to stop at the store for some supplies, then home to load up the car.  I am picking them up directly from school then headin' out!  I am hoping that the traffic is not TOO terrible, but whatever.......we will deal with it.

Liv is hoping to find a new dress for some occasions coming up and her grandparents were kind enough to give her some shopping $$ for her birthday, today, even though her birthday is not until Tuesday.  It would be really cool for her if she found something she likes.

That's about it for me today!
