Thursday Roll Call
Hello everyone
I am so glad it's Thursday...I'm off tomorrow!!! I'm looking forward to a lazy morning and some fun errands.
The last couple of days I have been having trouble falling asleep. I didn't fall asleep till about midnight and when you wake up at 4:30 am that's not enough sleep.
A friend at work lost her boyfriend yesterday. He had bleeding in the brain. He was on the road to recovery and was even transported to a physical therapy facility and then last night he took a turn for the worse and passed away. How terrible.
Nice weather today and tomorrow...hopefully the rain stays away for awhile.

After a long crazy day at work yesterday, I decided I needed to get my mess of hair trimmed up. There is a beauty schol around the corner from where I work on Wed., so I decided to give it a try. Was I surprized! On Wed, they are open until 8, and they give haircuts for $4.00. The girl did exactly what I wanted, and it looks good. So, instead of the 20 + i usually spend, tip and all was $7. Now this morning, I will color it, since its been a couple of months.
Today, I want to get the house picked up and vac. Then hopefully, this afternoon I want to put some more flowers in. We will see.

Crystal, so sorry to hear about your co-worker's boyfriend, how tragic.
I am here at the salt mines wondering what I am going to keep myself occupied with today after I attend to the tickets and the minutes from a meeting that I need to write and e-mail out. Too bad the weather is not a little nicer or I would take 1/2 day off.
Dave will pick me up after work and we will go to Sam's & Ace hardware after work for a few house & yard things. Other than that not much else.

How sad for your friend, Crystal, she is in my thoughts.
First thing this morning, I emailed the application for Liv to attend Sea Turtle Camp this summer. How exciting! I hope she gets it! The reference letters from her teachers and principal almost made me cry with pride. I truly believe that she would not squander this opportunity. The waiting will be close to unbearable though.
We will be packing tonight for our Chicago trip since I plan on picking them up from school and heading straight in. I sure hope traffic isn't TOO bad.
That's about all the excitment I can take for one day/weekend!

Good afternoon everyone!
Crystal I am so sorry to hear about your friend's boyfriend. That is so sad and tragic. We had news like that yesterday when we found out that a friend of Tyler's (my oldest) from his church youth group commited suicide yesterday afternoon. Tyler was't great friends with him, but he's still quite affected by this as am I. I went through something similar my Jr year of high school when a good friend did the same thing. So I let Tyler know that I am here for him if/when he wants to talk.
Other than that, life has been crazy busy around here. School is really taking up a ton of my time, but guess what? I only have 2 more weeks of classroom time left and then I do my externship for a month and I graduate!! Of course I will be continuing on at Waubonsee for nursing after this! lol
Life at home has been sucky, but things are changing so we shall see. I am really trying hard to keep positive and keep my humor in everything.
