Good morning all! Yes, I added the good part. Feeling chipper and looking forward to the day. I have a couple of spring garden things to do before I go into work. I want to put in a couple of plants in my urn containers before leaving for work and then also prepare my containers for my moss rose plants.

I posted a thread regarding the Spring Meet and Greet be sure and look at it. I will put up a new thread every couple of weeks to remind everyone. PM me for my address and phone numbers.

What is going on in everyone's world today?

 &

Chris

Hello everyone

It looks like it will be a beautiful day.  I have officially taken Friday off this week.  So I'm really looking forward to my 3 day weekend.  I have some errands to run...some fun errands.  Getting a pedicure and getting my hair cut.  That's always fun.  Then I will go to Fashion Bug to try to find a nice top.  Then Kohls to buy a purse and jewelry.  Then groceries.  So busy, running errands Friday but it will be fun errands.

Christine- I will wait closer to the date to RSVP.  My birthday is June 13th so there might be some birthday plans.  My daughter might come visit too. We will see.

Well everyone have a great day.

Crystal: My birthday is June 13, too! I seem to remember learning that coincidence last year.

This may sound weird, but there is a $10 coupon (off of a $25 purchase) for Fashion Bug on page 9 in the May 3 issue of "First for Women" (bought mine yesterday at the grocery store for $2.49--good recipes and stuff in it). If the FB cashier will let you, the coupon code on the coupon is 776330706.

Happy shopping!

Nicolle

Thanks...no harm trying.  The worst thing she can do is say no.

Crystal, I understand about a possible conflict. If you want to celebrate with all the rest of us we would love to have you and your daughter there.

Good Morning Chris and Everyone.

I planted another window box and 2 urns last night when I got home last night. I want to stop to pick up another flat or two of flowers either today or tomorrow so I can do them on Thursday. I might even get my tomato plants.

Other then that, I am off to work.

Stay safe,

Huggers,
LISA

Good morning Chris and the rest of Illinois!

I am at work today and feeling quite a bit better.  Not perfect, but WAY better.  Still have a nagging tired feeling but the headache seems to have gone.  Haven't tried to eat yet.  We will see.

I have a few things to plant right now also.  I have to get the cannas in.  I bought a blueberry bush (without my glasses) and when I got home to read it, it seems that I need 2 for cross pollination and they should be in partial shade.  Getting another is not the problem, but I can't think of where I have partial shade that would also be a good place for permanent bushes.  What to do, what to do?????

I also have to get supplies for the big "girl's weekend" for Liv's birthday.  We are going into the city for a Cub's game and Navy Pier.  I heard about the "New Maxwell Street Market" and it sounds like fun.  Anyone been there?

That's about it for me today.......

I've been to the Maxwell Street Market and it can be overwhelming, but fun. Every style of household gadget is on sale there, used or new. Completely random stuff you didn't know you needed or wanted for cheap.

I got a great hanging truck bookshelf for my son there for $4. I had to put hooks on the back--no big whoop. Similar ones sell at Pottery Barn and Land of Nod for $100. Cheap socks, gloves, ethnic handicrafts. I got some cute, new Chinese-style shoes for $3. Make sure you haggle. Everything is negotiable--could be a good lesson for the kiddos.

Oh, and the food. Lots of good Mexican food stands--tacos, enchiladas, churros. CHEAP.

Going to look at a chair in Elgin today.  So that means I need to pull up a map, make out an invoice and shave this morning.

I got up to take Sherry to the train this morning and it sure is bright out there.
