Monday Roll Call

'Morning all. I will hold off on the good until later and see if I am still running off to the WC like I was Sat. & Sun. Had a nasty tummy bug and hopefully it is over now. Despite that I did get my Topsy strawberries planted yesterday and put outside.

Woke up to a cold shower as it appears that the water heater went out. When it rains it pours, first the dormer roof now this (edited to add) - (it was the pilot light, we did have some wind yesterday).

What is going on in your world?

Got a few things done that needed doing over the weekend. Unfortunaly, we can always find that we can put somthings off until next weekend. The problem is, next weekend never comes.

Good morning Chris and the rest of Illinois!

I am working today, but think I may have a touch of that bug too.  I felt queasy and headachy all day yesterday and slept a lot.  This morning, still a bit queasy and lots of body aches and I could be napping.  I had to come in because there is a conference today that my co-workers are supposed to attend.  Both were supposed to go, but since losing the other one, my boss is going to stay behind.  Even so, he would not be able to handle the office alone, so I came in.  Wish me luck.

Dawn, that is exactly how I felt Sat. & Sun. I barely could get in my scrambled egg on Sat. Hope you get over it quickly.

Pretty cranky this morning...Not sure why! .......Oh yes I do, now that I think about it...its the time of the month YIKES!

I have a Dr. apt  with PCP today for a followup with my blood pressure. I am doing good with saying no to pork. This is week #2! I am proud of myself

I know that typical Dsers can eat pork, but I am not so sure if that is the case with me. So I have decided to STOP the bacon! I am sure I will get slack behind saying this...LOL

Hi Chris and Illinois,

Sorry some of you have caught "the bug".  Please keep it your way!  LOL

You may remember I lost my mini-dachshund Skeeter in February.  Have been looking for a new puppy and have found a red, dapple mini dachshund (female). She is 4 weeks old (still with mom @ breeder).  Chloe and I are both really excited.  We can pick her up the weekend of May 21, I think we will go on Sunday.  Breeder is in Fort Wayne, IN, about 3.5 hours from us.  We went puppy supply shopping on Saturday at PetSmart.

Otherwise, I'm busy at work and am co-chair for our local Women in Business Seminar which is May 21.  It is our 31st annual event and we expect around 300 ladies.  It is a great day of motivational speakers, local vendor booths, door prizes, raffles and lunch.  Lots of fun and energy.  It's lots of work, but greatly rewarding.

 I hope you all are feeling better soon!  It's been a while since I posted, but I thought I would pop in and say hello.  I finally have my normal energy level back since the beginning of April and I have been putting this energy to good use by working out regularly.  I am so glad to be eating normal foods, I even got over my fear of eating solids   Thank you to all my Illinois friends for your support. I learned soo much from you all and I look forward to continuing my journey with everyone.  This is a great group!
