Wednesday Roll Call

Hello everyone

This will be a long day for me.  I will be here from 6am to 8pm.  Kind of like a last minute push for year end.  Only two more days!!!

Last night I got a call.  I didn't hear it becuae I left my cell phone in my living room.  Well it turned out to be my best friend's husband.  All he said is that my BFF is in the hospital getting preped for surgery.  He didn't say what kind of surgery.  So this morning I was trying to get through to someone but of course no one is answering their phones.  I don't even know which hospital she went to.  I even text her daughter hoping she would get my message.  I am thinking it has something to do with her band.  I wonder if they had to take it out.  I will let you guys know when I know.

Sorry to hear about your friend, Crystal.  I hope it is nothing serious.

I am working today, then home for a quick dinner, then back to Pec to clean the theater for the high school show.  I had forgotten that I promised to help with that when I was there last week.  Oh well, we did a BIG clean last week, tonight should just be a go-over.

A friend from the city called me the other day with an awesome offer for Liv's birthday, which is May 4.  My friend has tickets for the Cubs that she can't use on the 1st and a hotel room downtown for the whole weekend that she has invited us to share!  Liv is going to bring her best friend and we are going to have a girl's weekend.  We are looking forward to it!

Not much else at the moment!

Good Morning Illinois!

I have not posted here in a while, thought I would start

Today is going pretty good, except for me ruining my Cream of Wheat! Errr! Its okay because I ended up eating peanut butter on wheat bread. YEAH!!!!!!!!!

I started a new BP med yesterday, and can tell the diffrence already. Not sure why I was diagnosed with HB after having the surgery. I have lost about 100 lbs, and still on the HB meds....its okay because my health is alot better than 5 months ago thats forsure!

Having issues with hair shedding ! I have started to take Biotin and Zinc! I am praying something good comes out of it. I hear that it could be months before the shedding stops.  I have been telling my support folks, and family that I think I am Hulk Hogan's sister..... We share receeding hairline.

I enjoy the Support Group in Rockford on Monday! We have a good group of folks.  I just only wish that I could go to my surgeons support group, who have a huge amount of DSERS like myself.  Sometimes I think its nice to share like stories. Dont get me wrong, I like attending the Rockford Group....


Well thats all for today. I hope to start posting on the Illinois Board!

Tonya, great job so far. Do not stress over the hair loss. The one thing that you can bank on is that it will grow back in eventually.

Fast fly by for me. I am at work. Later today I go with two of the officers to a volunteer luncheon at the local old folks home. WOOHOO - I will be back on soft mushy foods. They overcook the food and it tastes like baby food. We get served the same food as the residents get, I cannot wait - NOT!

I'm off today. Still haven't found a Full time gig. I have been battling a virus since Sun. A Pouch flu. My first since surgery. IT's a bit different now. 
Oh well, today will be job hunting, cleaning and working in yard.

What happened?

I had two biscuits and gravy last night and was fully ready to withstand the negatives of dumping if they came but instead I had an uncontrollable urge to sleep which I did from 7pm until 4am when I was up for maybe 20 minutes then back to sleep until noon.

Are carbs now like alcohol would for most folks making me pass out to prevent me doing further harm?

This is just an uneducated guess here but I think that you had a hypoglycemic episode due to too many carbs. I am with Dawn I could not eat that much when I was at your stage PO. I could eat barely 1/2 of 1 biscuit.

Hi All,

 Just a flyby for me today. Had to go get some labs done before work this morning. Need them for the heart Dr. visit in a couple of weeks.

It is a nice day, I hope it stays this way.
