OK and Medicaid is the program that issues your Medical Card. You might be thinking of Medicare which is for 65 and older.

I am not over 65 LOL!!! When was the last time you heard Medical card doesn't cover lap band?

I started the process 13 months ago and I was told at my informational meeting in Peoria. I also have Medicaid and was told I could not have Lap Band, but as I said previously things change all the time so hopefully it will work out for you but its best to find out sooner rather than later.

I am going thru Carle in Champaign and they know we wanted the lap band and we both have the medical card and they didn't tell us it wasn't covered a couple of days ago. But I will call tomorrow to make sure it is covered by medical card.
