Hello everyone

I did a lot of shopping yesterday.  I ended up buying 3 pairs of capris and 5 tops.  The good news is that I am down 6 sizes.  This is the first time I have gone clothes shopping since my surgery.  I didn't realize that I had gone down so many sizes.  I know my clothes have been big on me but I guess I didn't realize how big.

I tried to take a walk yesterday and there were thousands of tiny bugs flying around.  It was so bad that I had to keep my mouth closed or a bug might fly in...talk about getting your protein...yuck.

Well today I am going to be a little lazy and relax.

I hope everyone enjoys their Sunday

Way to go Crystal, you  were so kind to me when I started my journey. I love to hear about your daughter and how proud of her you are,she must love you the same. One of my daughters is a single Mom to her 8 year old daughter and they are so bonded like that, it's a wonderful thing to see. They live downstairs from my husband and me.  I know how you feel about the clothes, it sure is nice to have more choices to buy from. I even borrow from my daughter's some times. I was concerned that you were getting discouraged awhile back. Dr Joyce has had to take some of my fill out twice, I only have 5  in now but it seems to be ok, no more heart burn but I've not been to careful about food choices lately, lots of stressful surgeries for me and some family members this year is my poor excuse but I haven't gain any. Do you like your treadmill? I'd get one if I had room.   It doesn't sound like you could ever be truly lazy with your work schedule, plus your time with all your friends and movie going.  Again congrats on your success.  You need a new picture. :)

Hi friends,

I just got back from Dodgeville WI where Kay and I attended a  weekend song writing workshop. I wrote two songs, helped out with a third and got a start on yet another one. I played the piano and sang (!!!) in front of people I didn't know even though I don't do either thing well. We all had such fun. Now I am writing in my head every minute.

We were at a retreat center and the food was actually stuff I could eat easily--not that white church food (chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, bread and pudding--ugh!) It was interesting to eat in a group of ten and notice the quantities people inhale. I sometimes don't think I limit myself enough but compared to this group I ate almost nothing. They were constantly snacking too and most of it looked awful to me. It's good to see the changes in a new way.

It was a beautiful weekend to hang out and be able to be outside. Hope you all had a great time too

Connie
