Saturday Roll Call
Hello everyone
I just got to work so I thought I would say hello before I started to work. I am going to be here only till noon. Then I will be clothes shopping and maybe I will go to Borders...you know me with books. I can't help myself.
I bought my laptop last night. It's a Toshiba. It's very nice compared to my little 6 year old laptop. My daughter said I can take my old computers and sell them for parts??? I don't know anything about that stuff.
I have some good news. My daughter works at the greenhouse at the school. She is assisting in research pertaining to a certain kind of grass and bio-fuel. Well any way her boss approached her and was asking about her plans for her masters degree. He said if she was willing to get a masters degree in Environmental Science with a emphasis on bio-fuel. Her masters degree will be paid for (by BP Amoco)!!! But of course she doesn't know if this is what she wants to do for a living. But what an opportunity.
Well I hope every one has a wonderful Saturday.
Glad you only have to work till noon. Have fun shopping! We havea Toshiba and it's been great. That is really exciting about your daughter's opportunity.
I'm going to head to the gym this morning to walk then not much else. Probably work on sewing the bindings on the quilts I had quilted and I need to transplant some more pepper seedlings.
Enjoy this sunny day.

I'm new to this area, but not to this website. Thrilled to see this board is active!
Cmagouirk, congrats on the educational opportunity for your daughter! That's pretty neat, if your daughter is interested.
Today, DH and I are going to pick up his kids for a nice visit. I hope to get my tomato sprouts planted today, but with having the kids here, I think I'll end up waiting until tomorrow or Monday to get them planted. We will probably go out somewhere for lunch and spend some time on the Wi with the kids. That's always fun.
Hope everybody has a great day!
Crystal, what a great opportunity for your daughter! Who is her boss? My dad was head of ornamental horticulture at the U of I. I may know him! I don't think I would pass up an opportunity for a free master's degree. That could even lead to a guaranteed job and in this day and age, that is almost unheard of.
I am being lazy today. I slept in and it felt soooo good. (Sorry Crystal) No special plans for the weekend, just the usual laundry and grocery store. Isn't life exciting? NOT! It is too cold to work outside today. We even have a freeze warning out for tonight. I could do spring cleaning but am not in the mood.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

How has everyone been? Today was nice, bright and chilly outside.
I've got Alex Nagle at Northwestern, and will meet with him for the first time soon. I'm aiming for a June surgery, and will keep my fingers crossed that this can happen. It's all very real now. I'm in the home stretch!
So, gald to see that everyone in IL is doing fine.
