Thursday Roll Call

Hello everyone
 
I really don't have much going on today, except work.  Yesterday I wore my pretty new sandals and they hurt my feet so bad.  The strap was pressing against the top of my foot and OWWW did my feet hurt at the end of the day.  Now my feet are sore and bruised...so I'm wearing gym shoes today. 

Today I woke up at 3am and couldn't get back to sleep.  I think I will be a tad tired today.

Dawn-  I am definitely going to swing by a dollar store and check out what they have there.  Good idea.

I think I am going to stop at Krogers on my way to work this morning, That way I won't have to stop and lose some of my afternoon sun when I get off.

I als have to pack for the weekend. Maybe do that while Survivor is on tonight.

The weekend is coming fast. The only problem with that is it goes fast too.

Wow its going to be a great day outside.  Hopefully everyone can get out for a little while today. 

Like Crystal I have work today and then school tonight.  So most of my day will be indoors,
But I do have a window i can look out at at work. 

This weekend I really have to look for pants for work, somthing lighter and cooler.  I,m not ready for capris at work yet, calfs are too big.

Hi everyone!

What a beautiful week this has been! I hope everyone is enjoying the blooming trees and flowers!

We are enjoying several outings with friends in the last week, including a trip to Madison to see a friend and running into two others who we met almost 20 years ago! 

I am teaching myself to knit lace and both enjoying it and going crazy at the same time. Oh well!

My grandma used to do something with, like a cotton yarn, called "tatting" and she would attach it to the open ends of pillow cases.  I don't see it much anymore, even at craft sales.  Good luck with the lace knitting.  Sounds pretty fragile!

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois:

I had a very sad start to my day.  One of my co-workers passed away last evening and we found out right after we came in this morning.  This gentleman worked in the office with me and had become a very good friend.  He even lives out by me and we have car-pooled many times.  He was really a "gentle giant".  Looking over at his empty desk is very sad.  I will miss him very much.

I may have to do a "Board of Reveiw" for the Scouts tonight, and help the boys get ready for their camp out this weekend.  LIv has another track meet, and is not expected to be bac****il about 8:30.......no rest for the wicked.

Dawn, so sorry about your co-worker.  They are many times like family because we spend so much time with them.  We recently lost one of our sales guys (inside) and we were devastated.  Small group,like you have, so we really are missing his wonderful sense of humor.  Take care.  georgie

He was a kind and gentle soul and almost like a father figure to me.  He always had words of praise for my kids when he saw them and he always took time to talk to them.

He will be missed.
