Bad to Good
I spent a good a deal of yesterday waiting for a battery to charge. Each time it was charged it would be put on a drill and as I climbed up to steps of a wooden ladder out on our balcony Cheryl would hold on and grip my shirt should I lose my balance. I would then drill a few more centimeters into the concrete roof of our balcony. Our complex office had said this was ok and they would not do it. My leg did not think it was ok. The skin is fragile. Even though I am not diabetic I still have some similar symptoms and the ladder took a chunk of skin off the size of a half dollar.
Not sure if it is some events of the last week weakening my immune system to a cold or if it is spring and my allergies are flaring. I took both my Walitin and the new Alka-Seltzer Cold that does not fizz. Just as my body had decided it had all of the nose blowing and ladder standing it could take Cheryl says the ice box is making a noise. Yes, we mean the refrigerator. I tried turning the thermostat down and that did not help as a loud whineing was being heard and got louder when the freezer compartment door was open. I left a message on the offices machine. Our super called back and then came over. In the meantime I pulled the fridge out and unplugged it. When I plugged it back in the noise was gone.
The super came later and knocked on the door as Cheryl and I were putting in another round with the attempt to drill a hole. He cleaned the fan on the fridge and said it would make less noise. He said he would also come today with a special drill. A hammer drill I think he said. He did and he also had some better hooks. So now we have holes and hooks that we hope will be good and strong today when it might have taken me all week and several trips to hardware stores to get it done.
Tonight we get to play with hanging the Topsy Turvys and adding dirt weight to make sure the hooks will hold.
