Monday Roll Call

Good morning all of you young people at heart. Fast fly by for me. On my way into work here in a short while. I have a short work week. Work only for me today and Thursday. The rest of the time I have 'vaca" days planned. Tuesday we have tickets to a Bulls game, Wedn. I go have lunch with the old folks at the nursing home with 2 guys I work with (long story), Thurs. is a work training conference, after that we drive down to Tuscola for the night and then on down to visit with my sister for the weekend.

Hello everyone

I've been at work here for a bit now.  I am getting ready for another temp.  I'm not a very good teacher.  Well I guess I would be a good teacher but I have to worry about my regular work.  If I could just focus on training and not worry about my work than I wouldn't hate it so much.

Well I had a nice weekend.  Next week end will be tough.  I have to work.  Year end is coming up quicky, so we have to work the weekend before year end.  Long hours this week and next...oh well good overtime coming.  It just makes me tired thinking about it.

This is a fly by me too. For some reason, I oversleep on Mondays! Is it because I stay up way to late on Sunday night, or do I hate my job?

Anyhow, I had a great birthday with my family. Good food, and some great gifts, I did plant some perennial flowers in my garden. Next, I will tackle the pots. But not for a few weeks. I will get some mulch for the flower beds as soon as DH will bring it home.

Christine, have a great weekend. I think we are going to St. Louis on Friday morning, if not late Thursday.

Good morning Chris and the rest of Illinois!

I am working today and all week.  Nothing new there.

I am picking up my new glasses today at lunch.  My prescription has changed already (1.5 years since last pair).  I must be getting old........I had perfect vision for the first 46 years of life.

We did not get around to bottling Todd's brew yesterday, so tonight will have to be it.  I DID get my Spring garden turned and weeded around my perennial plants and can feel it in my muscles today.

I spent the weekend sparring via email with my brother.  He is now mad at me and may not be speaking to me again for a while.  I am trying not to be bothered, as that is how he is, but it is a bit disturbing.  He is the kind of person who never does anything wrong, and if (like I did) someone is crazy enough to call him on his bad behavior, he turns it around to make it someone else's fault.  This is not the first time it has happened, but it doesn't make it any easier to deal with emotionally.  Oh well, I will get over it.

Dawn, sorry about the brother thing. "Sibling" is just a fancy word for "pain in the ass," sometimes.

I hosted a party this weekend that turned out well. But we are still digging out from the mound of dishes and laundry (some guests stayed overnight). Oh well. If this is my only problem, I am a lucky girl.

I have to think about doing some yard work soon. Since I have no natural instinct about growing things, I watch my neighbors. When I see them moving, I get moving. So far, they are blissfully slow.

I know the feeling.  My sister and I have a very strained relationship.  My sister is the type that thinks she is always owed something.  She has been on welfare for her whole adult life and she is 36 now.  I think it's about time she learns to support herself.  But again she thinks it's everyone else's job to take care of her. 
She is also the type that likes to throw herself a pitty party all of the time.  So I find it very depressing to be around her.  I am physically drained when I am done spending the day with her. 
Also she likes to make rude remarks to me about my life or decsions.  She always makes rude comments about me only having one kid.  Because some how she is a better person because she has three.  She tries to make me feel bad about myself.   

Yes I would like to have a better relationship with her but I have come to realize that it will never happen.  So I see her at holidays only and I like it that way.  As you can see I can write forever about this subject.

Thanks for sharing, because again.....we have something in common.  She sounds very similar to my brother.  He has never done anything wrong in his WHOLE LIFE.....It is always someone else's fault.....even when he sleeps with married women.  I am still trying to figure out how THAT can be MY fault.
