Friday Roll Call

They are a perennial, Dawn, and they are always the first ones to bloom in the spring.  Mine have been blooming for about 3 - 4 weeks already and the blooms last for a few months.  I also like them because the foliage stays green all winter.  They are pretty hard to find but getting more popular around here.

Good Morning Christine and Illinois!

Yeah for the sun.  Looks like a really decent Friday and Saturday.  I think we are all ready for the weather to turn.

My fun news is I put a deposit on a new mini dachshund puppy last night.  She is at a breeder's over near Ft. Wayne, IN and will be ready for pick up May 22.  She was just born March 27th.  Her coloring is red dapple (red with some brownish spots)  So tiny right now, but she'll start growing like a weed pretty soon.  I will have Chloe this summer during the week, so I have told her she was responsible to help me train her and take care of her (oh yeah, we are going to name her Roxie).  Chloe is so excited.  I think with her being 10, it is a perfect time for her to have a puppy in her life.  With her and her  mom renting, I doubt she will have this opportunity in the near future, so we are both looking forward to it.

Not much going on this weekend.  Need to do some cleaning around the house and out in the yard.  What I really need is a long weekend to devote some TIME to organizing some "stuff".  I'll have to decide when I want to do that!

I had a Dr. appt with my surgeon last Friday.  I've lost a total of (right now) 61 lbs since July last year.  I'm really happy with that, and still working on losing.

Everyone have a super weekend.

Georgie

Good morning Christine and the rest of Illinois!

I am working my half day today then a few errands then home, possibly to work in the yard.

We are attending Liv's performance in "HONK!" at the school tonight.  She said that last night's opening went well.  Amber and Riley are coming out to go with us.

We are looking forward to tomorrow's Christmas Tree Burn as long as the wind does not get out of hand.  Send good weather vibes, please.  If we don't get the trees burned tomorrow night, we might have to wait until May due to scheduling.

I found a recipe for "Mini Tiramisu Eclairs" that I am wanting to "doctor" up to lower the sugar content.  I could not find ladyfingers at Wal-Mart, so I will look at another store in the area before heading home.  I also might try to come up with a cupcake decorating scheme for Liv's play too.......ducks, swans, lots of yellow, I guess..........

Georgie.....great job on the weight loss and congrats on the puppy.  We rescued our mini-doxi from the shelter and she was already 4-6 years old and set in some of her ways.  Funny thing is that we changed her name, and that didn't seem to faze her a bit.

Everyone have a wonderful day!

Tell someone that you love them!

You guys are all so busy.

Cheryl and I have just removed ourselves from all weekend activities we have had in the past on at least a trial basis so maybe some topsie turvies are in our future as well,  Peppers and tomatoes sound like fun.  I will need to get hooks and a concrete bit and a way to water them or maybe some sort of pole system.

304 on the scales 323.4 on the Wii Fit   This will get interesting soon.  At least for those of who find paint drying as interesting.  My two scales with a bridge will soon be telling me that I am in the 2s.  I should then be able to weigh on one scale.  What will be interesting is if one scale matches up with what my two scales with a bridge weigh me at if not what the differance is.  One of my first major goals thoug is at the most a few months away now.  To be able to weigh on one inexpensive scale.   Did I tell you guys I bought some 52-30 jeans at Salvation Army thinking they would be for down the road and I am wearing them.  I also bought some 52- 28 Wrangler Jeans.  That is important because they fit and are short so another major goal 42-29 Wrangler Jeans since Wrangler goes by 2s until I get down to 42 and the 30s will wear out with the cuff dragging the ground.  I have a pair of 50-30s waiting though.

Randy, been there done that with needing to cut back on other activities. Just for the record you can get stands from the Topsy Turvy company so you might not need to do any drilling.

Good deal on the jeans and keep up the good work. Dave and I bought the majority of our clothing at thrift stores when we were loosing. Where is there a SA in your area? I always like to find new thrift stores.

You may want to pm me on the curtailing of weekend activities issue.  The Salvation Army Thrift store is just north of Palatine on Rand.  Cheryl has a friend going to beautician school next door to it.

I need to hit the new Good Will that I think is on Algonquin in Arlington Heights.
