Good morning everyone. Work for me here in a short while. Dave is meeting up with one of my nephews for lunch today so I will stop in on them also. After work we are running up to the Woodfield area to the Michaels so I can get garland to lay along the mantle so it hides the cabling to the TV etc. I need another plant hook for an additional Topsy Turvy so we will stop at Home Depot on the way back home.

Have a good day. Tomorrow Dave and I go down to Navy Pier with the LWB team at the Diabetes Expo.

Chris

Hello everyone

I woke up this morning feeling so happy it is Friday!!!  Yeah!!!

I have no plans this weekend.  I have some errands to run and some cleaning to do.  That's it.  It will be beautiful out this weekend.  I am craving some nice weather.  I had to scrape my windowns this morning!!!  I'm sick of scrapping my windows.  I'm still waiting for the sun to be shining in the morning when I'm leaving for work....but 5:20 is pretty early

I am going to shop around for a laptop this weekend.  My old laptop is pooping out on me.  It would be nice to have a new laptop.  I'm goingt o check Tiger Direct, Walmart and Best Buy.

Christine- do you have any luck with the Tospy Turvies??  Someone told me they never work.

I hope everyone enjoys their Friday!!!

Crystal,
I am not Christine, but we used them, topsy turvies last year and they were great. The only negitive I can say is that they require a lot of watering.

Crystal, last year was the first for Topsys and I loved them. I had great output for hot peppers and tomatoes. I have a new one this year for strawberries. Last year my sister who bought me one and she got one also we had the unit totally fall apart on us. We think it was either old or defective. They are supposed to last for years.

You have to treat the planter as a container plant and water often as they are exposed to the full sun and dry out. Ask Lisa about them also as she has used them also.

I got my laptop from Comp USA who owns Tiger Direct. I got a fantastic price for the Lenovo G550 and it was at my door step with 5 days.

Good Morning Christine and all.

Chris, it seems like you are as busy as ever.

This morning I am going to follow  DH to the car garage, so we can get an estimate on the repairs he needs. Then we are heading for Menards and Home depot to get some cabinets ordered for one of our rentals. Also a new front door for me. He has been promising it for a few years now, and now is the time to replace it. I also want to stop at Hobby Lobby for some beads and frabric. I want to start on a pink quilt for my DGD for Xmas next year.

It still seems cool outside. But at least the sun is out.

Yesterday I was able to get most of the house vaced and dusted. I never even left the house.

Have a great start to the weekend. Stay safe and warm.

Huggers,
LISA

Morning Christine and Illinois,

Happy Friday to all you workers!  I'm so happy to see the sun today  even if it's cold out.  Yesterday was so gloomy.  I'm going to do some light housekeeping today and get a walk in hopefully.   We're heading up to my favorite plant nursery, Gethsemane Gardens, tomorrow morning on the north side of Chicago for their open house.  They specialize in hellebores and woodland plants you just don't find other places.  I am very excited about that.

Enjoy your day.

Lynn

Love nurserys myself. There is one in Barrington and another in Lake Zurich I want to go to but have not gotten there. We have Platt Hill in Bloomingdale and it is great.

I've seen the ads for Platt Hill in Chicagoland Gardening.  Might have to take a road trip up north one of these days, thanks.

What are "hellebores?"

Tell someone that you love them!
