Good morning all! What is going on in your world? Only two more days and the new TV will be installed. Things have changed, now you say installed instead of delivered. Our is going to be mounted above the fireplace into the masonary.

Hello everyone
I hear we are going to get some storms today. I don't mind as long as it's not snow!!!
I am thinking about getting a new laptop because my old laptop (my daughter's old laptop. she got a new one. i took the old one) is going to start costing me money to keep it running and I would rather spend my money on a new one rather than fixing my old one. I will shop around and see what's out there. I'm thinking about getting a netbook. I don't know...we will see.
Today and yesterday I have been training a new employee. I am so sick of training. I don't think I could ever be a teacher. I find it so boring to sit talk about a subject all day that is soooo dull.
Christine- I can't wait till June because I will be buying a new TV also and a new blu ray DVD. These new dvd players connect directly to the internet and you can rent movies from Netflix from your TV. Where did you buy your TV? How much did they charge for installation? Well enjoy your TV.
I hope everyone has an enjoyable day....

Crystal, new computers are always fun. We did get a bluray also. Our TV will be one model down from the computer download Samsung model. We are not movie people other than getting some from the library now and then. I do have a lot of the old classic musicals on DVD that we watch when there isn't anything on the air. It is a 3D unit, 46".
We got ours from Abt in Glenview and we are being charged $299 for install and received big discounts on cabeling and other supplies. We did get other discounts on the TV & bluray. Abt is one of the largest electronics store in the north Chgo area. They also have a website www.abt.com

Cute graphics, Christine! Congrats on the TV. I have a hulking-but-beautiful, mission-style entertainment center with two matching curio cabinet towers hiding a clunky TV that works perfectly well. We should upgrade the TV but I am attached to the hulking cabinet, which is silly, I know. It's like it eats up one whole wall of our living room. Someday...
Well, I'm back from a whirlwind vacation out east. Philly, DC, NoVa, New Jersey and Maryland. We saw family and friends (we lived in NoVa for a short time) and saw the sites. Anyone who has traveled with kids can imagine the ups and downs of this trip. It was nice, but it's good to be home!
While gone, I ate everything in site, from Philly cheesesteaks to Hershey chocolate (yes, we went to Hershey, Pa). I did not gain a pound! However, it will be nice to get back in a regular food routine again.
I met about 20 DSers in New Jersey and DC for dinners and it was awesome!

I have always wanted to go to those two philly cheese places in Philly that you see from time to time on the Travel Channel, looks delish!
We have the same situation with the Murphy bed unit in the living room as it takes up the whole south wall. Fortunately it looks like an entertainment center and it a fabulous storage display unit for my "stuff" in addition to being useful with an extra bed.

My kids have begged for a Murphy bed. I think they think they sleep upside down in it!
We didn't leave time to go to South Philly for Geno's and Pat's (the friendly rivalry places featured on shows), but we found some decent ones near the touristy places. I hate to admit it, but I prefer Cheese Whiz versus provolone on my sandwich!

Well, I am 310 during the month of 310 or maybe 307. The scale could not decide this morning. Progress towards the 2s is going very slow.
I sorted out a bunch of clothes yesterday. Too big, too little and just right. Then the bears came home. Not really, no bears that is. I will do more of that today.
My tv is 20 years old and the channels and video reception is controlled by my VCR that I think is older. I have some nice flat screen monitors though and enjoy Netflix, Hulu, et al. A friend back in Houston just turned me on to Who Do You Think You Are? Cheryl liked it though so I canno****ch it during the day. I need a job so I can help the economy grow like the rest of you are doing. I appreciate the spending to try to get me working.

Randy, good to see you and congrats on the scale victory, slow that it may be.
We had been saving up for the TV for a long time and also researched it probably for close to six months. It is strictly a cash purchase even though it went on the CC. The money is in the bank to pay that off. If the rest of the country waited for us to help the economy then they would be waiting a long time because we are not snap decision makers.
