anyone self pay for VSG in Illinois?

I posted something on the mail board but I wanted to check in here as well.  I'm from the Chicagoland area and I would really like to have vsg surgery.  I have a lower bmi and I don't meet my insurance guidelines for getting it covered.  I really want to stay local because I want to stay close to my family.  Does anyone know of any doctors who have a good reputation for this procedure in Illinois?  Has anyone self paid?

I truly appreciate any information on this.  

Hello, I saw your post on the main board and here but did not have time to answer you until now. You might want to check with my surgeon, Dr Jeff Rosen as he does VSG. http://www.lifeweighbariatrics.com/46.html He comes very highly recommended by me as a surgeon and his whole program. He has a fantastic support group and he and the rest of the staff  will be in attendance or will be making presentations at the support groups. There are several of his patients on this board that pop in from time to time. The office is located in Downers Grove near I 355 and Butterfield. You could give them a call to find out more about self pay.
