I had the Medicaid card. But lost it due to not being sick enough for the system. My question is: Does any one know of a good health insurance that would allow for the gastric by pass surgery?

My Blue Cross/Blue Shield IL HMO covered it 100%

Do you work? if you do, you can check with your employer to see if it is covered.
I had BCBS and they covered it.

My BCBSIL PPO covered my DS surgery at 100% as well.

I have contacted BCBSILL. They want more then what I make a paycheck for the premium. I only work part time. They say I must wait 12 months because I am over weight. So I want to thank you for your help and congrates on your surgery. Jenny
