Monday Roll Call
Wakey, Wakey Illinois!!!!!
I can't BELIEVE that I am starting Roll Call at 9 am!!!! Where IS everyone????
Oh well, here I go:
I am working today, loving the look of the outdoors. It is sunny and I think only going to get batter as the week progresses. I hope to get out at lunch for a walk/run around the industrial park. If not, I will try to do it around town after I get home.
I filled up the grill yesterday and have wonderful grilled meats for the week. Yesterday I had steak with chimichurri. I plan to use the oriental seasoned chicken with some mandarin sauce from Panda Express. We also have hamburgers, pork chops and brats. I just LOVE to do that. It makes dinner time so stress free.
The kids are home today taking a break. Tomorrow, I have to take David around to area businesses to seek sponsorships for his Jamboree trip in July and Liv has an appointment with the ear doctor in Madison. You all know what THAT means........TRADER JOE'S here we come! I really love their sub-lingual B-12 and the Decaf French roast I can only get from them to mix with my chicory. I'm sure we will find a few other goodies up there too.
I am hoping that our 3 newbies are doing well, healing and getting used to the new way of life. We are here for ya!
Everyone have a magnificent day!

Hello everyone
I am not at work because someone broke into my car. I am waititng for the guy to show up to fix my window...yep they come to me I don't even have to leave my house. On the bright side I have $0 deductible insurance so this won't cost me anything.
I am watching Tori and Dean on TV right now. Later I may get outside since it will be so nice out. It's times like this that I wish I had a yard.
Well have a nice day. I will in spite of my car window tragedy.

When I do the pre-grilled thing, I cook the meat for that night to taste, but the rest of the meat, I pretty much just throw on there for a few minutes per side to get the grilled flavor but do not cook it thoroughly so it finishes cooking when re-heating. Don't know if this helps you at all......
I also make sure to store the different meats in separate containers.

Good Morning on this last Monday ofMarch,The weather is onlysuppose to get better from here out.
I called my insurance company this morning to check on having plastics done. Well, that ain't going to happen for awhile. 2 things, of the many that is needed are,BMI under 30, and 6 months steady weight. Plus alot more. Maybe someday it will happen.
Computer didn't want tocome back to work today. I finally figured out what was wrong, and she is being good at this time.
Have a great day, get out in the sun and stay safe.
Huggers,
LISA

Good afternoon Dawn and Illinois,
Sorry I've haven't been on here but today is the first day I've felt like being on the computer. My surgery went very well, Dr. Joyce told me all was perfect. I came home early Wed AM and did well till Thursday afternoon, nausea was really bad, I kept trying to drink but nothing helped. Started vomitting that night and couldn't get any water in so we went to the ER about 3:30 in the morning. They got an IV going and anti-nausea meds which worked great. Had a CT to make sure there wasn't any blockage and that was fine. I was admitted and finally came home again Sat late afternoon and have been doing great since then. Started pureeds yesterday which went well, just having a hard time getting in all the pills/vitamins. I'm sure I'll get used to it the better I feel. Not so sure about that potassium though, any suggestions? I've tried crystal light but it was still so nasty. Can't imagine doing this for 4 months!
All your grilled meats sound good Dawn, that will be so nice to have all week.
Dawn, so sorry about you car but at least it's covered.
Good luck on your plastics journey, Lisa. Hope the road isn't too long.
Well I'm off to get that potassium down then some egg salad for lunch.
Have a good day everyone.

WELCOME TO THE LOSER BENCH!!!! glad you are doing better, and it will just keep getting better and easier, just keep at it, sometime it helps to chart it out so you can see how much you are getting it, that is what we did for me and i felt better seeing it on paper. i dont know anything about potassium, i didnt have anything special for that? all pills had to be crushed. I do remember things that tasted good pre surgery tasted so nasty after but it got better to, i think some of it is the anesthesia. so glad to see you back on and posting! take care, sip, sip, sip, rest, rest, rest,Denise

Thanks, Denise, I'm ready to hit that bench!!!! I started writing everything down that I need to take all day and what I've eaten and drank and that really is helping. The potassium is a tablet like an alka seltzer that I dissolve in water and have to drink slowly over 10 minutes. It is really nasty. I held my nose when I sipped it today and that helped. I'm sure it will get easier when I'm feeling better.
Thanks for the encouragement and I'm very happy to be back.
