Tuesday Roll Call
Hello everyone
I feel much more rested than I did yesterday. I made sure I went to bed early.
I am, as always hoping for the week to go by fast. Actually I wouldn't mind if the whole month of April went by quickly. April is year end for us and as the month goes by it will get more stressful.
I do have some good news from work. We are having a really good year...we are 13% over expectations!!! So that will translate to really nice bonuses in June!!! I think with my bonus I might buy a new television and blu ray dvd. That would be so nice. The TV I have now I bought at a garage sale 5 years ago and the color is off. Whatever is left over I will put toward my daughter's wedding.
Well I better get back to work.
I went to see Dr. G yesterday. It was good news. I lost 11 lbs in 11 weeks. I hope that it keeps up. He also told me that I didn't need o see him except if I have a problem, for a year.
We went to Maggiano's to meet family for dinner afterward. It was great as usual. I had a small cup of soup, shared with DH, and mussels in spicey red sauce. I ordered the small size appetizer, and it still came with 20 mussels. Needless to say, I brought over 1/2 home.
Lynn should be on the road to recovery by now. Hopefully she will be able to send a note our way.
Todays lunch will be leftovers, then my GD will help make dinner. When she decides what she wants to make. I am sure it will be delightful.
Have a great day, the sun is shining, all is well.Stay safe.
Huggers,
LISA
it's been a while life has been busy, so lots of updates. We submitted to insurance and it was approved, surgery is set for May 5th, it hasn't hit me yet but i'm sure it will. Things are really progressing with my company, i've ordered business cards and i have a few documents to create then off to the printers, i hope to be seeing patients April 1, 2010.
I quit my job at the hotel, they just really ticked me off and it's too bad cuz for 3 years i've been the mot dependable night auditor they ever had, i hear they are struggling for a dependable person, anyway i went back to my old hotel for 1 shift per week, i like the discounts
Everyone have a great day,.
Congrats on the bonus! Things ARE looking up. Although we have gone 2 years without a raise and are cut back to 32 hours, this year we are getting a 3% addition to our 401k accounts. We did not get anything last year, so I take it is a baby step in the right direction.
I am working today (as usual) then home to make dinner for the family. I am thinking of going back to protein only for a few days.
I started the "Couch to 5k" plan on Sunday and today is my second day. I will get in my run/walk at lunch, I think. I REALLY need to get back on the ball. I have gained 12 pounds and am not liking it one bit. I don't FEEL as good as I did so it is time for a change! It seems like a doable thing...check it out: http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml Wish me luck! I have not run in 30 years and I'd really like to try.
Not much else happening in my world......
Have a wonderful day and enjoy the sunshine!
Just click on the calendar to see what to do each day. It is also on Facebook for free.
I guess I should have checked the link before I posted. I did not mean to make anyone think they should spend money. You that know me KNOW that I don't EVER spend money and certainly don't pay full price for much of anything!

Im a little bit nervous, but have been listening to a CD before bed (Successful Surgery) - it's relaxing and calms you and gives you subliminal messages to heal and recover quickly - I guess we'll see if it helps!!
OK - will be checking in later in the week and I'll probably have tons of new questions for everyone!
Have a great day and Wish me lucj please!! (Prayers are always welcome too)!
You came to the right place. We have all had sugery, or going to have it. Have you tried any protein shakes yet. You may want some for a change of pace when you come home. Wear looser clothes tomorrow, so when you come home nothing will press on your incisions. Take 1/2 of what you think you will need in the hospital.
We will be looking forward to you telling us your experience. Good luck tomorrow and we are always here for you to ask questions, or for additional support.
