It's Official!!!!!
I am a Grandma!!!
While I have came to accept this, it comes with some sorrow.
My daughter was expecting identical twin grils, but unfortunately one was lost to Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS).
She was put on hospitalized bed rest a week ago this past Friday. On 3/18 at 1:30 am the night shift was monitoring the babies and all was well. The morning shift started monitoring at 7:30 am and they could not find one of the heart beats. So after several sonograms, and dopplers they called the death of Baby "A" at around 11:30am. This episode caused my daughter to go into labor, so at 5 pm on 3/18 she had an emergency C-section. Her due date was 5/29/10
Baby "A" was first her name is Kandance Mae she weighed just a little over 2 lbs and was almost 14" long. She is scheduled to be cremated on 3/22..
Baby "B" came into the world weighing in at 2 lb 8 ozs and is 14" long. Her name is Mckenna Grace. She is breathing on her own and has no complications or health issues.
My daughter is doing well and will be going home on Monday. Mckenna will be going home in the next 6-8 weeks.

Great news about your new grand baby. I am so sorry for your loss of Kandance Mae. Be assured that she is in God's arms as I write this. Keep us posted on Mckenna's progress. I am sure she will do just fine. I do believe that the Dugger 19th was only somewhere around 1 1/2# and she is doing very good.

What a wonderful event and a sorrowful one at the same time. Congratulations on the birth of your granddaughter Mckenna Grace. What a beautiful name. I pray that she continues to grow rapidly and soon comes home to join the family.
My sympathies to you and your family over the loss of Kandace Mae. I am sure she will always hold a special place in your heart. She will be in heaven watching over her sister. Mckenna will have her own special angel. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.
