Need to vent--plateau & little gains/losses

Morning!

Up until recently my weight loss has been steady...about 2 lbs a week.  I am 14 months post op and for the past 2 months I have been struggling with the gain 2-lose 3-gain 2-lose 2 cycle.  This morning when I stepped on the scale, I was up about 3 pounds.  Let me tell you--I almost flipped.  Now, granted, I have lost about 123 lbs..so I realize that I have lost a great amount of weight....but I am really upset with myself. My body is now being stubborn....my cycle is late (not pregnant),  I feel bloated, and I can't stop this yo-yo nonsense!.   I work-out and really watch what I eat.  I think that I need to start writing my foods down now. Up to this point, I didn't have to.  I need to analyze if I am getting in extra calories which I don't realize.

I am not prepared for this yo-yo crap again!!!  I know that I have to buck up and use my gbp as the tool is was meant to be!!

Has this plateau / little gains & losses happen to anyone else and can you provide some feedback as to how you got thru it...without beating yourself up.

This is really a forum for me to vent and express my feelings.   I know that many of you out there know what I am going through and don't judge....so I just needed to have an outlet!! When I mentioned to some family members....I got  the whole...you had gbp--how can you gain weight.  Um....didn't want to hear it!!! So, I turned to my OH friends!!!

Thanks for listening....(reading)...Enjoy the rest of your day!!!

Welcome to life after surgery and the honeymoon.  Not what you want to hear I am sure.  I just went in to do the tests for my 2 year check up today.  It made me realize how much I am thankful for but also how much I still want to obtain.  I think I had too many expectations of this surgery and it is a lot more difficult to deal with than I expected.  I did not really listen to the part that yes, you would have to watch your weight forever.  It is a daily struggle but you have to decide how much of a struggle you want it to be.  I would not fret over 3 - 5 pounds.  As long as you are maintaining your major loss, sticking to your healthy eating style and exercising, then I think you can relax.  Just remain aware of your weight and don't let it go out of control again.  That I think is a realistic goal.  Hugs.
