Morning all!

Weekend is here. I am just laying back and lounging in the house. I have a book to finish and want to watch a couple videos from the library again and that is about it. I might venture out later to pick up a few things for Sunday dinner. If I do not there is plenty in the freezer already cooked.

Good Morning.

It is cold and rainy, not what I wanted, but it may be a blessing anyway. I want to get into the back bedroom and clean it today, so if it is  a mess, I won't resent having to be in the house.

Carol N.  Keep your chin up.

I think I will make a smallish pot of soup today. I have a lot of leftovers , so instead of throwing them out...

Whats on your agenda for today?

Stay safe, stay warm.

Huggers,
LISA

Soup, ummmm. I made my fast soup mix on Wednesday that I posted a year ago Christmas. I always have the mix made up in ziplock bags and it takes only 30 minutes to make.

Hello everyone

It's snowing!!! and it's Spring.  There is something wrong here....

I am going to be running off to Target right after this.  Then I will go to Bed Bath and Beyond, and to the laundromat.

I came home pretty late last night.  I had fun though and the movie was pretty good.  There was a few corny love scenes in it but all and all an OK movie.  I spent lots of money at borders.  I boought more wedding books and I bought Anne of Green Gables...it's supposed to be really good.  I also bought a gift for a friends daughter.  Then we went to Michales and I spent more money.  Oh well I'm broke and happy.

I also bought another pair of gym shoes.  I went on the site that Dawn suggested and found anothe pair of Nikes I like. It is a great site for people with big feet.  Try it out fellow big feet friends.

Well I need to go to Target to buy my New Moon!!! WooHoo!!!

I LOVE Anne of Green Gables.  It is one of my absolute favorite books.  The good thing is if you like the book there are quite a few books in the series.  They follow Anne and the other characters all the way to adulthood and to having children of their own.  The last two or three books are about her children.  I can't say enough about them.  Happy reading!

Anne of Green Gables - now there are memories. On channel 11, WTTW here in the Chgo area years ago they used to feature the whole video series during their fund raisers. We have all three sets of the VHS videos. I would like the DVD of them instead, better quality.

I also LOVE the PBS Anne of Green Gable miniseries.  They were fairly true to the books.  The movies that were suppose to be about Anne as an adult were as not true to the books.  Megan Follows and Colleen Dewhurst were amazing as Anne and Marilla.

We went to visit the house where Anne of Green Gables "lived" when we went to Prince Edward Island a few years ago. It was an interesting  trip. Hope you enjoy the book. I loved them all!

I uploaded two pictures of the house on my profile.

Good morning Illinoisans!

I love the snow, especially when it falls on the grass and trees and isn't sticking to the street. Couldn't it always snow like this? LOL This is why I live in northern Illinois--I really get a kick out of the weather. Just wait fifteen minutes and it will change! I lived in FL and the weather was boring. I lived in southern IL and the weather was humid always, but here it is always an adventure.

We went to the Golden Apple wine tasting last night which was fun, then out to dinner at Garrett's where appetizers were more than plenty. It sure saves money at restaurants to have a band. We are going to Five Forks tonight with a friend which will also be fum. They have a duck breast feature. That is the only  poultry that seems to stay down--go figure!

Have a great day and if you hate the snow, just cuddle up with a good book!

"Appeteezers" are something we will get also. We will get two different ones and many times we even take home left overs.
