Thursday Roll Call
Hello everyone
Well I didn't get the shoes I wanted on payless.com because they ran out of all sizes but 7s. So I will be buying some shoes from Famous Footwear and I have a $10 coupon for them too. I will wait and see if Payless will restock eventually.
I am thankful that it's Thursday. I can't wait till Friday at 5pm!!! I will leave on time tomorrow if it kills me. The past two days alone I have worked 27 hours...and I'm tired. Oh I found out some good news...the company board has voted to pay out dividends on our stock. The company gives us stock every year (this counts as our retirement plan) and they are actually very generous with the stock the give us. I have a sizable amount accumulated. Well now I will get a check every quarter for my stock!!! The check will only be $200-$300 (I can't remember how many shares I have) but it's something. Woohoo!!!
Well I hear it will be beautiful outside today...get your fill of it because it will get cold out again...yuck. And it will snow...yuck. Find some time to get outside and soak in the beautiful weather. I can't wait till summer.

When I got home yesterday, I never even came into the house. DH had put up the porch swing, so, I sat on it until we went for dinner, and read a book. Spring will come, exen with a few weather setbacks.
Today I want to do some cleaning. I also want to get outside and see what needs to be cleaned up in the backyard. It is a bit early, but I need to have DH see what he needs to get before we can put in the new pool. We will be heading up to Joliet on Sunday, so we may be able to stop at American Sales or the Great Escape to stock up.

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!
I am working today and looking forward to my lunch time walk. I am starting to believe that Spring will really get here. As Lisa say, even with a setback or two, it WILL be Spring!
I will be home alone tonight, so maybe a bit of yard work. The boys have Scouts and Liv has track and Scouts. My, my....not too often I get time to myself. I will put on the book I am listening to and get some stuff DONE.
All this talk of shoes has me thinking. Both my kids need new shoes and we have had good luck at www.eastbay.com in the clearance section. Liv wears an 11 and David is in a 14 so shopping in the stores is not an option anymore.
Not much else going on in the northwest corner.

You guys have me thinking about those shoes!!! Now it seems the ads are everywhere. Maybe I should get a pair...
I actually went shopping yesterday and almost fell over...I bought a pair of jeans, a sweater and a cute knit top for less than $20!!! I thought the jeans were $24.99 and then they rung up as being on their clearance rack as $6, where I got the two shirts. They got accidentally folded up and put on the regular-priced table. Carson's--who knew? The sales are out there, everyone! (Oh, and the best part is the jeans are a size 6. I suspect that is some vanity sizing run amuck, but I'll take it!)
Typical Thursday, running around to do and then I am volunteering at my son's school. That's fun.
I am swimming in info about plastic surgery right now. (My thanks to those who have shared their exeriences with me from this board!) I have to make a decision soon, then try and get insurance to do their part, then actually go through with it. It's overwhelming me for some reason. I guess it seems elective, although the sores under my pannus are telling me differently. My DS felt like I HAD to do it to save my life. The PS feels like a QUALITY of life issue, which IS important, but...you know.

Happy Thursday! I have a small break at work and thought I would pop on. Thursday nights are busy for me; I do some work from home. I also have a dentist appt...just a cleaning.
I used to work with a women that had a pair of those shape-up shoes, like 5 years ago before they were ever so popular. I remember me and others thinking at the time they looked strange. I guess she was a trend setter. I wonder if they are comfortable to wear?
