Good Morning to All.

My plan for today is to stay home, make our corn beef and cabbage, and work on my newest quilt. I wanted to work on it yesterday, but I had to go to Walmart first to get frabric for the backing.

Can I say that I need to stay out of Walmart. Everytime I go I spend more then I intend to.

I hope everyone has a safe and hopefully dry day.

Huggers,
LISA

Hi Lisa,
I'm so jealous that your Walmart still has fabric.  Ours hasn't had it for probably 3 or 4 years.  I really miss it.  Now the only place around is Joann Fabrics in Orland and I hate having to run up there all the time, it's so congested.

Have fun on that quilt.

How about a Han**** Fabrics? Check their store locator as they have one in Tinley Park, Bedford Park and North Riverside.

The  Wally World in Addison still has fabric but the Elk Grove Village one does not.

Good morning, Christine and Illinois,
Good luck with the cable, that is so frustrating.  So much for keeping the customer happy.  Enjoy the movie, heard from several people it is awesome.  I saw the man that plays Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum on a late night talk show and he is a riot.

Well, can you believe we are great-grandparents.  Our 19 yr old granddaughter had a baby boy yesterday, Casey, and he is so cute.  She's got a rough road ahead but is so happy so we're happy for her too.  Had a great day yesterday, attended a "Garden Day" with 3 wonderful speakers and lot's of shopping.  Sure got me revved up for Spring.  I think the daffodils grew 3" yesterday with that nice rain.

So far, the pr-op diet is going real well, 1 week down.  I've lost a little over 10 lbs which helps with the mental part of being hungry.  Now I "only" have 80 to lose with the surgery so that's exciting.  It's funny when I think about that.  If I was going to my WW meeting, that number would seem huge and unreachable but now I really believe it is attainable.

I'm going to make a few meals for our SIL and his family today to take to them, he's doing well.  As long as I keep busy, I'm good.  I also took Tylenol PM last night and finally slept more than 5 hours so I feel great.  Hope that is okay to take.

Have a great day everyone.

Lynn

We went out and got some exercise walking through Woodfield but before that we stopped across the street from the mall and have been given a really good price on Uverse at the AT & T store. We had already decided to go with them but the ComCast issue put us over the top. We do not make financial decisions on Sunday's as that is the Lord's Day and His alone.

Alice in 3D was fantastic. A little scary for younger kids because some scary things come at you on the screen. EDITED TO ADD - and it is very loud at times.

Congrats on the new  great grand child. I am a great great aunt and it is so fun. I have three living down the street from us. When we were at the party last night my youngest came flying across the room into my arms. Funny their last name is Casey and your newest is Casey.

 Good Afternoon!

I am procrastinating here about going grocery shopping.  Any excuse to stay home.  So I thought I would do a quick run by.

Yesterday was a busy day for me.  I had my check class in the morning and when I got home I called a friend whom I havent been able to get together with for some time and we went and had one of our 5 hour lunches.  It was so good to catch up with her!

I am totally screwed up with the time change.  Last night when it was time to be thinking about bed, I was wide awake.  Consequently I slept in this morning as I went to bed at an ungodly hour.

Christine, I hope you do better with Comcast than I did with Dish TV.  It took me almost 2 weeks to get my TV back up and running.  GRRRR.  I am switching as soon as I can get time to stay home long enough to get Direct TV installed.  The have a better deal than AT&T.  I thought I would go with them until I priced it out.

Hard to believe the weekend is almost over.  Lynn, Congratulations on your new Grandchild and Crystal, I hope you are enjoying your day of rest.

Everyone have a great week!

Nancy, Uverse gave us a fantastic price today (see my response to Lynn). We are scheduled to have ComCast  fixed tomorrow. We are bundling our services and it is less for Uverse with phone, TV and internet  BUT the big catch is what the cost will go up to after the contract year . . . at least our phone line is underground . . . it cannot be snapped by a branch again. We tossed the branches back into the neighbor's yard!
