Friday Roll Call

Good Morning.

It's Friday, the sun is out, at least for a while, and the temp is nice.
It is almost officially spring. What more can we ask for?

I took a nice long walk yesterday afternoon. It was so nice out. Then I came home and cleaned a couple of my flower pots out. They will be able to be planted as soon as we can get flowers.

Today, a bunch of little stuff to do.

You are LATE this morning.  Are you sleeping in????

It's Friday, Yahool  I'm only working until 1 pm, then taking the rest of the afternoon off.  Chloe turned 10 yesterday and her bday party is this weekend so her grandma and I are heading down tomorrow to help.  Decided we might as well stay overnight and go shopping Sunday at the mall there....I SERIOUSLY need some clothes!  LOL  All of my tops are way too big..have been trying to make do, but with spring and short sleeve weather coming, I better get a few to get me by!  Nice problem to have!

Congratulations on the clothes shopping this weekend, Georgie, how exciting.  I bet that walk felt so good, Lisa.

Have fun in the city, Dawn, sounds like a great time.

Things are really starting to pop up in the yard, I'm so excited this time of year.  So far the pre-op diet is going fine, I'm hungry but dealing with it.  Going to grill tonight.

I finished the practice flower girl dress for our granddaughter today and swam this morning so that kept me preoccupied.  Keeping busy really helps, so does the herbal tea.  Just wish I could sleep through the night, this waking up at 4:00 is getting old.

Good morning Lisa, Georgie and the rest of Illinois!!!!

I am working until 11:30 today, then heading out for some errands.  I need to get the stuff for the office corned beef and cabbage that I will be making for Tuesday.  I need to exchange a pair of jeans and pick up some things for our trip into the city tomorrow. 

David, Liv and I are joining our friend to be in the parade tomorrow!!!!!  We will be walking with the fans of the Chicago Fire soccer team.  It sounds like a lot of fun and a life-long memory!  We are staying over tomorrow night so that we can hang out and do/see all there is going on downtown.  We have to be back by 10:30 am on Sunday so it will be a short trip, but fun.  It is also a bit of an NSV.......there is NO way I would have considered doing anything like this 4 years ago.  The walking alone would have killed me!

Bravo! I don't think people who haven't had to cope with living with obestity know that "parade-marching phobia" is a real issue. ;) I, too, can't wait to march with my special interest groups --- once I'm normal weight. For real.

Happy dance: I have a 4-day weekend! And, although it'll be spent doing sandwich-generation errands, housekeeping/organizing for WLS, special ed paperwork and research, doctor appts for DD, and my 1st OA meeting in years, I am thrilled to not be going in to (paid) work. More time for OH, too! :)

Hello everyone

Yeah!!! It's Friday.  I am so happy. 

I have no special plans this weekend...at least nothing fun.  I am going to watch that documentary, Food, Inc.  I heard it's pretty good.
 I'm equally happy about Spring.  I hope this Summer is more seasonable than it was last year.  Last Summer was on the cold side.  Which was nice for my electric bill (not as much AC).  I have already been invited to two summer parties.  Everyone is planning for the Summer already. 

I have been so busy today that my morning just flew by.  I hope the rest of the day is the same. 

Lisa-  A nice long walk sounds so nice.  If the weather clears up this weekend I will go for a nice walk.  It's nice to get out after a long winter. 

Dawn-  I always heard the St Pats day parade was rowdy with a bunch a drunk people.  That is the main reason I never go.  Is it as bad as I heard? 


Well I hope everyone has a nice day. 

I've only been to the parade once, many years ago.  Although there ARE some drunk and rowdy people, there are ways to avoid them.  I remember it as being one big, happy party.

That is part of why we got a room....so we will have our own oasis of peace.

There is something going on at the Museum of Contemoprary Art that I think Liv will enjoy so I am hoping to sneak over there in the afternoon.
