Hello everyone

I am here at work...just got done eating my breakfast.

I am happy about the warm weather.  I don't even mind the rain.  As long as it's not cold and snowing, it's fine with me.

Last week I was so tired I could have slept 12 hours.  This week I'm not sleeping well at all.  So needless to say I can't wait till the weekend.  I still have to come into work but I don't work till 8am on the weekends so I can sleep in a little.  Have I mentioned I am not a big fan of working on my weekends off.

Yesterday I had a Chipotle buritto bowl with just chicken, beans and cheese (I don't like rice).  It was soooo yummy and it was enough for lunch and dinner.  I almost want it again today.

Well I hope every has a great day.

Good Morning.

I am walking out the door shortly. The best thing about rain in March, you don't have to shovel it. I would prefer the sun.

Nothing on my agenda today except work and exercise. We may go out for dinner.

Thanks Dawn, for posting the great breakfast ideas. We all seem to get in a rut with what we eat. This awakened my taste buds.

Stay dry, stay safe.

Huggers,

Lisa

Good morning friends~
Nothing planed for today except CCD and TaeKwonDo later for Maddie.  I'll do some straightening around the house later.  Yesterday I completed my decorating frenzy in the 1/2 bathroom down stairs.  It turned out awesome!!!   If you want to see it, I have pictures on Facebook.  My name on FB is Kim Larson Markham.  I don't think I have anything blocked, so enjoy!  I've been enjoying all the recipes that people are posting.  Now that I'm a full time stay at home mom, I've really started to enjoy cooking....that's only when it turns out and I don't start a fire:)  We grilled last night also!  I grilled steak..yummo!  Even though I can only have about 1-2 oz. of it.   I hope everyone has a great day and stay safe!!

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

Great to see Kim posting....I sure do miss her.

Working today and I have a chicken caccitore recipe in the crock pot.  It will be posted tomorrow if it turns out!

Not much else happening.  I am thinking about driving into the city to walk in the St. Patty's Parade with one of my girlfriends.  She is walking with the Chicago Fire soccer fans and it might be fun.  I still have to discuss this with Todd, but it sounds like something to do and great exercise!

Have a great day and stay dry!

Tell someone that you love them!

Good morning, Crystal and Illinois,
I love Chipolte, the flavors are so good!  Well, I'm on Day 3 of the pre-op and surviving so far.  All I can say is boy does that dinner of 4 oz protein and 1/2 c veggies taste good.  They said Day 3 of the diet is the worst so hope they are wrong.

I worked out in the yard yesterday, it felt so good to be outside.  I told my husband I at least wanted to get my hosta bed that I can see from the bathroom window cleanup up so I can enjoy it after my surgery, watching what comes up!

Going to swim this morning then to the hospital for our SIL's surgery in the afternoon.  Our granddaughter, his daughter, has a concert at school in Coal City, so we'll go to that tonight.  Got to keep busy.

Everyone have a great day.

Hey Lynn,

I remember how wonderful that 4 oz of protein and veggie tasted!  I savored every morsel!  Hope you're feeling ok, and not too hungry! Good thought vibes for your SIL's surgery.

Hello everyone:)
I, like Lynn, am surviving on the pre-op diet:)  If day three is the hardest, I think I am going to be fine.  It is funny because I will not eat chicken broth, yesterday I drank it twice and it was good.
I hope you all are well:)  Enjoy the beautiful day:)

Someone suggested to me for my preop diet to mix the chicken broth and the beef broth together.  I thought YUCK!! but it actually was quite good.  Better than either one alone.  You might want to give it a try.

Swanson makes a garlic chicken broth that saved me when I was in that stage. It was so different it felt like a real treat!

Hi Yvonne,

My suggestion is to buy chicken noodle soup and strain the broth off that to eat.  It has a better taste than just the "plain" broth.
 good luck, you're doing great!
