Sunday Roll Call
Good morning all you kids at heart. Not much going on in my world today. I will shortly start our corned beef dinner in the crock pot. Also the usual for a Sunday, straighten up a little and lounge a little. I am going to later get some herb seeds started under the grow light. Dave brought my bag of dirt in yesterday.

Good morning, Christine,
Corned beef and cabbage sounds so good. I've got my tomatoes and peppers going under the grow light, Christine. So far, they look really good.
Well, things didn't go too well with the tree cutting yesterday. My husband and son-in-law were cutting the second tree on a steep hill. Our son-in-law was cutting tree and the end of the tree where he was cutting spun around on the stump and fell on his leg pinning him. We were finally able to pry the tree up enough to get his leg out. The ambulance came and got him some good drugs going so they could get him moved to the ambulance. He broke his leg in 2 places and is just miserable. They set his leg and sent him home with it splinted and hopefully he can get in to the ortho surgeon early tomorrow. I feel so bad for them, he's a carpenter and been unemployed for 1 1/2 years and just started schooling at junior college last week for job retraining. They have some wonderful neighbors that came and worked with us and our granddaughter's boyfriend all day so we could finish cutting up and splitting the tree and cleaned up the yard before they got home from the ER. Other neighbors brought over food. They really live in a nice community and have great neighbors.
We're just going to hang around the house today I think and enjoy the weather. Don't need any more excitement. Definitely found out how to get my heart racing without exercise, LOL. I start my pre-op diet tomorrow morning so I'm trying to decide what to have for my "last supper". Need to take my before pictures and measurements too. Not looking forward to that!
Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday.
Lynn

Lynn, my prayers to your SIL. There is nothing worse than a broken bone especially in a larger bone as the leg.
I do not start my tomatoes and peppers from seed as I buy plants from Burpee. They are delivered in top notch condition. The herbs are being started early as they can be difficult to get going. My flowers will be started later in March or early April.

Hello everyone
I got my treadmill!!! Woohoo!!! The exercise shall commence.
It was really heavy. OMG!!! My best friend's boyfriend came over and my neighbor's boyfriend helped me get it up to my apartment. When I get my daughter's room get cleaned out I will need help getting the treadmill into her bedroom.
What a beautiful day it was yesterday. What a nice day to be in Chicago.
Today is all about relaxing. I will be a lazy lump...after I exercise of course.
Lynn- I'm sorry to hear about the mishap yesterday. What a horrible thing to happen. I have broken bones before and it was one of the most painful things. I will be sending healing vibes your way.
Well everyone enjoy their Sundays.

Good Morning Christine and the whole of Illinois.
Lynn, best wishes to your SIL.
Crystal, I am glad you got your treadmill setup. I will be hitting mine when I finish this.
Christine, my mouth is watering for some corned beef. I will do ours next weekend, even though my tummy does not like it. I will have a bite or 2, then DH will devour it.
Yesterday we tryed to eat a late lunch at Paytons Roundhouse. We even had 2:30 reservations. We did have a drink, but when we went to get seated, the hostess informed us that they quit serving lunch at 2:oo. The only thing they serve between 2 and 5 or snacks. We were not happy. We ended up going to Stockhomes in Geneva. We all like that place, and I was able to find things I could eat.
Today, I am doing as little as possible. I am putting a roast on in the crock pot. Not sure what else. I will also get ready for the upcoming work week.
Stay safe, stay warm.
Huggers,
Lisa

Lisa, sorry about your experience at the Roundhouse. I have never been there but have heard of it as my boss (the one that gives me so much trouble) goes there. I did not know that too many restaurants did that anymore with not serving an extended lunch especially on Saturdays when people are out and about. If you are ever near St Charles in the future The Filling Station Pub and Grill on Rt 64 west of 31 is really great for sandwiches. They also have a great patio for during the summer.

Good Afternoon Christine and Illinois Friends
It is hard to believe the weekend is more than half over and I still have tons to do.
Yesterday I went and got my hair done and ran multiple errands including my weekly WalMart venture. One of those was to the jewelry store. About a week ago I caught my gold bracelet on the latch of the microwave door. It broke the latch and the clasp of the bracelet. The microwave wont work and the clasp has to be replaced. I am getting the bracelet shortened as this is the second time in about a year I have replaced that clasp and at $70 a pop, it is getting expensive.
I start up PT again on Wednesday.
Yesterday was so pretty. I really enjoyed being outside and running around without a coat. Even my cats have spring fever. One of my 3 legged cats Claude escaped earlier this week as I came home from work and he did not come home until 11pm and brought a new friend with him. Yesterday he got back out but fortunately, he did not stay out long. Darned cat!
Hope everyone enjoys what is left of the weekend.
Lynn, I am so sorry about your son in law's accident. That must be really painful as well as VERY inconvenient. I hope the healing is fast.
