Good morning, Illinois,
I'm just checking in on the computer before going to the gym this morning.  Going to do weights then head to the high school to swim.  I've got my pre-op blood work at the hospital at 8 am tomorrow morning then an appointment with my surgeon at 9 to sign the consent forms.  Its really getting closer.  No nerves yet, just excitement.

I've got my sweater knitted in my hopefully new smaller size, now I just need to sew the pieces together.  I'm so glad I got it done before my surgery.  I'll put up a picture when it's done.  Hope everyone has a good day.

Lynn

Hello everyone

I'm looking forward to some nice weather.  I'm also looking forward to my daughter's graduation.  I'm still planning her graduation party.  I guess it will be an engagement party too.  That's when she is announcing her engagement to everyone.  You guys know before most of the family.  Hahaha.

I am soooo tired at night I have been going to sleep earlier and earlier.  Yesterday I went to bed before 9pm.  I'm telling you, I get home and I'm so tired I could probably fall asleep at 7pm if I let myself.  Well at least I feel rested today.

Lynn-  I wasn't nervous before my surgery either.  I was feeling excited, but no fear.  I'm excited for you.

I hope everyone has a good day.

How's your blood work Crystal?  Excessive tiredness can be from deficiencies, iron, D, B or other.  Might want to have it checked.........

Maybe I missed your post on the cause of your fatigue, but it sounds bad, like it's interfering with your life. Have you had your iron checked recently? My iron was low as a pre-op and it got worse after my surgery. An iron infusion picked me up, but maybe you're still at the point where iron supplements could help if you're low. Just a thought. Oh, and congrats on the engagement!

As to my day. More of the same stay-at-home mom schtick. Drop off and pick up. Reading books to my little guy. Meals, snacks. Maybe some laundry if I'm feeling frisky.

I am still treading the plastics waters and have my first consults scheduled for next week--thanks to those who sent me PMs and replied to my plastics question.

Hang in there, everyone. Spring is just around the corner!

Good morning Lynn and the rest of Illinois!

I am working today and very happy to say that I did not need to put the light on in my bedroom this morning to get ready.  That HAS to be a good sign.  I know that in just under 2 weeks, it will be dark again, but I enjoyed it this morning!

I remember that "last supper" syndrome.  Good for you not to let it get out of control.  You WILL be able to eat most of your favorite foods again, just less of them at a time!  Also congrats on the sweater.

Nothing much happening in my world today.  I need to return the book on CD (Stephen King's "Under the Dome"----VERY good) to the library and get a couple others.  I have found that I can listen to them while walking at lunch, so it is a big help there too!

I am wishing everyone a splendid day!

I need to go in and have my blood checked.  It's been more than 6 months.  I wanted to do it at my PCP's office.  That way I can have my yearly exam and ask him for new medicine for migraines.  I want to try Imatrex.  I need to get that done.

Good morning, Il and Lynn,

I second the "it's lighter in the morning, must be getting closer to spring!"  50's by the weekend, we'll think we are in heaven.  Not much going on this week.  For those of you who might have missed the weekend posts, I had to put my little Skeeter (mini dox) to sleep on Saturday.  It was a sad weekend.  The poor thing, though, had gone from 9.8 lbs to 7 lbs in 2.5 weeks, so something was not right.  Breathing was labored.  You have to make the hard decisions for those little ones, event though it is heartbreaking.

On Friday, I got my new kitchen countertops in.  I LOVE them.  They are Corian by Dupont.  The look fab (IMHO!).  It is always so hard to pick things out by "little samples", whether it be carpet, paint colors or countertops!!  You just go with your gut and pray for the *******OL.

Well everyone have a SUPER day.  Spring's a comin'!

So sorry to hear of this Georgie.
My son has a mini dox.  We rescued her from the shelter and she is now between 7 and 8 (we think).  She is starting to get gray in the muzzle anyway.

I understand how hard it is, but you did the right thing for Skeeter.

I'm so sorry to hear about your pup.  We went through it last week so I know exactly how you are feeling.  Everyone seems to be doing better after the weekend, but I still feel sad when I walk in our house and she's not there snorting at me.
