Sunday Roll Call
Revision on 04/19/13
Good Morning Illinois,
Before I forget, if you live near a Trader Joes, they have a tiny bit of spring to share with you. I was able to get a mini bouquet of daffidils yesterday for $1.49. Nice, cheap and a touch of spring.
My daughters and I went to Chinatown yesterday. The last time I was there was when I was in 8th grade. We went to a dim sum place and it was great!
Today, I am making dinner, fter I go get some meat, and folding a bit of laundry. Thats it!
My taxes are done, except for the actual filing, I might get those off later.
Whats new with everyone?
Stay warm and safe.
Huggers,
LISA

Hello Everyone!
Well it looks like everyone is busy this weekend. I am working on taxes, laundry and grocery shopping today. So it is a busy day for me. Also need to pay bills. Need to get moving!
Tomorrow I finally have an appointment with my doctor about my jello legs. They are a little better since I stopped my new meds but not much. I have no clue what is causing it.
Beginning to wonder if it is a vitamin deficiency. Any ideas?
Georgie and Carol, I am thinking about both of you today. Hope you are having a better day. It will get better. Hugs.
Monica, hope you are feeling better after your surgery.
Lulubelle get lots of rest as you go back to work. You WILL be tired for another month or so as you had major surgery. But you will recover.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Hello! Hope everyone is doing great. I've been off the grid for a while now because I've been dealing with my dad's recent hospitalization and transfer to a new nursing home/leaving the old nursing home... & have been meeting my goal of getting to bed by 10 (ish) p.m. --- which can really cut into a girl's online life.
I have not weighed recently, but pants are getting looser. I'm busy still trying to master this new language of food values; logging & counting cals, carbs, fiber, and now protien; starting to count steps (avg. 4,000/day --- 6,000 steps short of goal, steps a noon 45-minute walk would provide); and begining to lay in protien powder & dry milk powder. Tiny progress on everything.
The big news is that I just started acupuncture for excruciating pain in my osteoarthritic thumb joints, and man, oh, man, the pain is down by 50 percent. It was down by the evening of the first treatment (two treatments so far). I kid you not. I also feel more flexible and my mood is vastly improved. Dang.
I'm looking for sampler packs of WLS-friendly protien powders and drinks, as well as for SF syrups. Everyting is so expensive that I don't want to invest a lot without having an idea of how this stuff tastes/works for me.
Also am starting to try to learn the whole vitamin and suplements lesson.
Oh, and am starting to work through the journaling exercises in It Ain't Over til the Thin Lady Sings, a good WLS book that pays a lot of attention to common emotional issues with food.
Just caught a cold, so am turning in early. Happy week to all!
