Thursday Roll Call

Morning Illinois,

Ugh, can you believe more snow again overnight?  Saw it's supposed to start warming next week, let's all cross our fingers they're right.

Went to the Silver Cross support group meeting last night.  They had a clothing exchange and had tons of clothes.  I was really impressed, it was very organized.  Can't wait to start getting rid of some of mine.

Got a busy day today, weight training this morning then hair appointment after that.  Then garden club this afternoon.

I bought a pair of swim goggles yesterday so I'm going to try swimming laps tomorrow, I really miss my cardio exercise.

Good Morning Lynn and All of Illinois,

We got about 1/2 inch of snow last night. I was just closing the house up when I seen it start. I agree Lynn, it really needs to start warming up.

I have PT at 8:30 this morning. Then some errands to do. I want to clean the bedroom  when I get home. Had I gotten up at my regular time, I could of had it done by now. Oh well, it will get done.

I finished up a quilt top last night. Another of my want to do today, is to get it ready to quilt. That may or not happen.

Hello everyone

I'm soooo sick of this weather.  There was a time when I like winter more than summer....not anymore. 

I have nothing going on today but work.  Another 12 hour day and my back hurts.  I must have slept weird.  I woke up really stiff and sore.  I can't move without pain.  It's going to be a long day.... 

I wish I had time and energy to go to a fitness club.  But I work 10-12 hours a day.  I am usually pretty worn out by 6:30pm.  Not to mention I don't want to work out too late because it then makes it hard to fall asleep at night.  In the morning I'm already waking up at 4:15 (I leave to go to work at 5:15).  I don't want to wake up any earlier (4:15 is already too early).  UHGGGG!!!  I need to cut some of my overtime.  Make some time for myself.  

I can't wait till Friday.  I'm tired and sore.

Good morning Everyone!

I hope you all have a great day.  I unfortunately don't have much planned. I need to squeeze a walk into my busy schedule, LOL!  Other than that it's more rest, sip, walk for me.  I can't believe how easily I get tired. I want to be healed already.  Any ideas on how to avoid gas pain from the protein shakes?  I am so uncomfortable after I drink them.

Good morning Lynn and the rest of Illinois!

I am at work, bright and early in spite of my late night last night.  That's OK...it was TOTALLY worth it.  I had a GREAT time!  We went to Chen's for dinner (awesome Chinese) then to the concert.  All the bands were great and the sound was good too ( I was a little worried being so close--I only have one ear left).  Todd says that's because we all are getting older and the bands realize they don't have to "crank it up" and blow out our eardrums.  Tommy was looking wonderful as usual. 

Work today, then Family Night at Scouts tonight.

I have been walking at lunch while I listen to my book on CD.  The other day, I was even able to walk outside!!!!  Yesterday, I RAN two laps around our building (inside) in addition to the 20-25 minutes of fast walking!  Add to that the almost 4 hours of non-stop dancing from last night and I have to think my body is happy.  It reminded me of how much I like to dance, so I am thinking that I need to do more of it.

Today is just going to be a rough day all around for me.

Tonight at 5:45 we are taking our oldest dog, Xena, to the vet to be put asleep.   In my head I know we are doing the right thing, but my heart is breaking.  We had to explain it to the kids last night and the older two seem to understand but our youngest (he's 3) is just too young to understand.

Right now she's sleeping on the couch and I just feel so guilty evertime I look at her.  She's been spoiled since last night with all kinds of goodies from the kitchen.  This is hands down the worst part of being a pet owner.

I don't know what our ****er spaniel is going to do, they are two of the closest buddies.  Gabby is always by Xena's side.

So that is my day and it sucks.

So sorry about your dog.  I'm also having to try and face that.  My little mini doxie has not been doing well. She is 13 and seems to have a variety of problems.  Such a hard decision to make.  Prayers for you and your family, because it is so hard.  georgie

I'm so sorry about your furbaby.  I never had a pet but I would love to have one.  I can only imagine the sadness you are experiencing.

I am so sorry to hear about Xena.  I know how hard it is to do.  When I put Inky down, I spent the whole day preventing myself from picking up the phone and cancelling the appointment.  Your head tells you it is for the best, but your heart and emotions say "NO WAY!!!)  I will keep your family in my prayers.  It is like losing a member of the family.  After all, they are part of the family and it is not an easy decision.  But, keep in mind that you are being so kind and loving to Xena.  She will be waiting at the Rainbow Bridge for your family, playing and romping in the sun until you can all be together again.
