Wednesday Roll Call
Good Morning Everyone!
Well, it's midnight and I am not tired, which is unfortunate, because I need to get up for work in 5 hours! I've never started a roll call, so I thought I'd give it a try.
I've been sick with a bad cold the past several days. I'm not looking forward to going to work as I still have a hacking cough and I'm losing my voice.
I'm doing well in other respects. I finally feel like I have a handle on my protein intake. I'm getting to the gym at least three times per week. Twice a week I'm working with a personal trainer, who KICKS MY BUTT. I can't believe how much stronger I feel after just one month of working with him.
My latest WOW moment is being able to walk into a few stores I've always wanted to shop in and actually be able to wear the clothes. I tried on clothes at Coldwater Creek today err, yesterday. I can't believe I can fit into 2X's and they LOOK NICE! I can stand to look at myself in the mirror! I was good and didn't buy anything. I went home and shopped in the back of my closet instead. I found a skirt and a few sweater twin sets that will be nice for spring. Good thing I only buy classic styles, huh.
I guess I better go get some sleep. I hope everyone has a lovely Wednesday!

I too am up late. I need to get to bed as well. I never seem to be able to get on here during the day. I have a dentist appointment bright and early in the morning, then work all day. Thursday morning I have PT. It seems that all I do these days is go to PT and go to work, eat, sleep and go onto face book to feed my animals, and farm. I am in a rut, sigh.
I am so tired of this blasted snow. I cannot wait til spring. At least I can get around better in this stuff now. It is so wonderful to not have the knee pain.
Wendy, I enjoyed reading your post tonight. congratulations on finishing up on school! That is quite an accomplishment, especially with working! Also congrats on becoming a grandmother -- twins, oh my! how exciting. My niece is 5 months pregnant and got married last weekend. In this day and age, I think it really is not given a second thought. We are excited to have another addition to the family. I can say, the babies are wonderful and a welcome addition. You will love them!
Christina, I hope that your shop gets opened soon. I can relate to months without a paycheck.

Crystal, take a deep breath and hop on the scale. The worst fear is not knowing. The world will not come crashing down on you, I promise.

Lynn, I found that cortisone shots really made a difference in my knees. They are well worth it.

I am working today and hoping it goes by quickly. I have a date with my hubby tonight!!!! Dinner and a concert. He won 3rd row seats for the 38 Special/REO Speedwagon/Styx show! I just LOVE looking at Tommy Shaw!!!! I should be able to see him very well from the 3rd row! (I know, I know......I'm showing my old age!)
My theater group last night was a bust. Only one student showed up. We are re-grouping and going to put out a big publicity campaign for next month's meeting to hopefully get back on track. The problem is that middle-schoolers (and all kids) have SO many activities and only so much time. We will see how it works out. If it is a failure, it will still work out for Liv, since I started this group so that she could be active at the theater and she will soon be old enough to join the high school group. If my middle school group folds, it will be sad for those kids who wished to participate though.
I was very happy to see that Gina and her new baby are doing so well and the baby is SO cute and sweet looking!

Well, we have made it to Wed. Which is the center of the work week for most. Of course, this is my last work day for the week. Sorry about that to all that have to work 2 more days.
I was not happy this morning to see it snow again. Will it ever be over?????Only 25 days until spring. At least we are on the downward turn with it.
Today is work, PT, then out to dinner with friends.

Steph, I was wondering how you were doing the other day! Glad things are going well. Nancy, glad to hear your knee is feeling better. Lynn, if you haven't had cortisone before, I found it helpful, and you might want to coordinate it with going off your pain med.
Wendy, if you're there, I had seen your posts before, so glad to see you again. Congrats on getting your degree. I did the same thing...got my Bachelors in Business Admin when I was, like 38, then at 48 went back and got my MBA (after swearing I'd never go back to school). It's a LOT of hard work and time management, but such a satisfying feeling when you look back and see what you have accomplished...and then when you do look you seriously wonder, "How in the WORLD was I able to work, deal with family life and have a little social time!" GOOD for YOU! Congrats, too on the twins. That will be SUCH fun.
I'm going along a little with Lisa. Won't have to work on Friday. They are coming to put in my new Corian Countertops, so pretty excited about that.
Hate the snow...it is staying lighter at night and March 14th, 2 am we get to move to what my grandma always referred to as "fast time"! LOL. They were dairy farmers and my grandpa always refused to change the clock (for milking I guess) so for a long time their clocks were always an hour off (at least half of the time!) COME ON SPRING!!!!!

Good morning Illinois!
I am tired. My oldest was sick all day yesterday and then last night my middle son became sick. Yet all 3 were up at 5:30 this am feeling fine enough to be playing and loud. Sent them back to bed just to have the dogs start chasing the cats. I'm tired.
I should go to work but a big part of me just wants to say forgetaboutit and go shopping at the mall. I need to get my youngest son his birthday presents. He turns 4 next week. But I think I will go and then go shopping afterwards.
I hope everyone has a healthy Wednesday!
