Well, they are predicting snow for all of us again. Hopefully, this will be the last blast of winter. Spring is one month away. And, most important, Daylight Savings Time goes into effect on the 14th of March.

What is going on in your world today? I am determined to finish the taxes today. Also to get my exerising in. I am also going to put a crockpot chicken dish on for dinner.

Good morning Lisa and Illinois!

Went to Morgan's last night and listened to the band and had a GREAT time! It was what I needed....to get out of the house with a few friends and have fun! In the room next to where we were there was a 50th birthday party going on. Someone bought a pair of big girl panties, I'm assuming as a gag gift. This guy was wearing them on his head. We were laughing about that......some girl left the bar wearing them out the door.

Had a Wow moment yesterday....I was looking in the mirror, standing with my legs shoulder width apart and I noticed I had space between my legs! That is a first...my legs always rubbed together.....I am amazed at the changes in my body over the last 22/23 months.......

I too was hoping the winter weather was over but it is not.....maybe this will be the last of the major snows for us......spring is 4 weeks away.....official first day of spring is March 20th.....and it can't get her quick enough for me!

Hello everyone

I am having a nice relaxing day.  Yesterday I ran around most of the day.  I went to Kmart to put my treadmill on layaway.  they had no ellipticals I wanted either.  Well the treadmill I wanted was out.  I did get a raincheck.  But no treadmill.  I also went to Bed Bath and Beyond, Khols, and Target.  I'm almost finished replacing my cookware and bakeware.  I have been buying new pieces a little at a time.  I am giving my daughter my old stuff.  Which is still in good condition.  It's nice to have new cookware after 15 years. 

I'm also starting to buy Easter stuff.  Yes, I still give my daughter an Easter basket.  Some people think she's too old.  I say nonsense, my grandma gave me one every year till she died.  You're never to old for an Easter basket.  I just make it more "adult".  I still put candy in the basket.  But instead of toys I bought a bracelet and a gift card to Jimmy Johns.   

I'm not looking forward to all the snow tomorrow.  I hate driving all the way to work in snow.  YUCK!!!  I really need to win the lottery and move to Arizona.

I love new cookware. I bought some Analon from Crate & Barrel about 5 years ago and still love it. We thought we deserved it after 30 years of marriage. I would like to get more but I am limited in the storage in my kitchen.

I agree with you on the Easter Basket; just because your daughter is an adult now you can still get her one. Great tradition!

Good morning everyone!

I got to sleep in! Woohoo!!!  It helps that our 2 smallest children are spending the night at Grandma's.

Blue/Gold is this afternoon, thankfully before this snow is supposed to show up.  I'm looking forward to it, it'll be fun and after this I get my life back!

So that's my day for today, Blue Gold!! I have 2 crockpots of jambalya cooking away right now and I'm about to put the corn casserole in the oven to heat up as well.

 Good Morning Lisa and Illinois Friends

I have my running done for the day if I want to stay in.  I have been to church and the grocery store.  There is a jewelry party this afternoon for our animal shelter.  We shall see which starts first, the snow or the party.  I am just through with dealing with snow at this point.  I am ready to pack my bags and move south.  But I think I would hate it in the summer.  Sigh.  

Christine, the pictures of Chicago our great!  I had a pretty view out my window at the Wit Hotel as well.  Carol, I hope you have a great afternoon at your blue and gold affair.  Crystal, I got an Easter Basket and a Christmas stocking until my mom died.  They were just part of the traditions in my family.  Of course as I got older, I got my parents a stocking and basket as well.

I have been busy, busy all week since we got back from the Loop on Monday. I got back to work with people coming up to the other girl and I were asked what we had done that our boss was ranting and raving about all that we do wrong on the Friday before when neither of us were there. Yeah, I know how very professional of him.  Well this made me shake in my shorts as I found out that we were being reviewed. If you remember - this boss has it in for me and always finds fault with all that I do, whether right or wrong. I ended up with a fantastic review and advanced to excellent overall, go figure!

After all that stress I was exhausted on Saturday. I decided not to do too much. I sat down at about noon and we watched curling from the Olympics and also learned about the sport. During that time I thought - I will take the public access training for FOIA (on the IL Attorney Generals web site). After I finished with that and passed the course I thought why not take the access that gives a certificate (which my boss had said was fine for me to do even though he is the FOIA officer) - low and behold I aced the test with 100% and now I am also a certified FOIA officer.

Last night after the Creek we went to a local Chinese restaurant which had been so so in the past (now 2 owners since then). We started getting their delivery which proved wonderful. Their sit down was just as good as delivery plus they have Thai, Indian, Japanese and Sushi/sashimi. Great rediscovery for us.

Sitting here basking in the glow of acing the test, doing some sprucing up the house - the usual Sunday things. . .
