Friday Roll Call

Good morning everyone!

Here is how out of it I am this morning, I went onto this board, started reading the Thursday Roll Call thinking it was Friday's and wondered why Lisa posted the exact same post for Friday as she did Thursday....Then I saw my own post and went 'oh'....

Today is busy busy busy, only 2 days left til Blue/Gold and then you all will be so happy when I stop talking about it!  I have errands to run, work to do, programs to copy, BUT I also get to pick up my spanking new pots/pans set from Kmart Layaway today.  Can't wait!  I still use the pots from our wedding presents, 10 years ago. They are in sad sad shape.  The new ones are RED, my favorite color!

Thats cute Carol. I think we all have done that at one time or another.

You can continue talking about the Blue/Gold as much as you like. God knows how much I have talked about the road construction by my house. I have now decided to call it either the DMZ zone or no mans land. There is a safety fence down our side of the street, and one down the other, with this wide gapping, muddy ravine down the middle.

This morning I am having breakfast with my daughter and SIL. They are both off today, and need to come up to do some business. Then I need to go to PT. I have a few other errands to do as well.

Carol, I know all about how much time it takes to be devoted to Scouting.  My husband has been a Scout leader for 10 years or so.  He began when our son was small and no one else would do it.  Our son is now about ready to start his Eagle Project.  I admire your commitment and appreciate the time you volunteer.

 

I am working today, but if it is slow, I will be finding information about the Philippines to help Liv with a Girl Scout project that needs to be done by 7:00 am tomorrow.

 

Not sure what is happening for our weekend.  Liv is booked all weekend, but the rest of us seem to be free.  I’m sure we will find something to do.  Todd was making noises about beginning Spring Cleaning.

 

Glad to see the “lulubug" came through surgery well and is now home recovering.  Send her good vibes to help her on her way.

I have been slowly replacing my pots and pans from 15years ago.  My daughter uses them in her kitchen now.  They are Caphalon and that is a really good quality brand.  I would still be using them but my daughter gave me an excuse to buy new ones.  Of course the replacements are Caphalon too.  They are expensive pots and pans but so worth it.   

Just dropping in to change my banner.  Cheryl is keeping me busy doing her stuff around the house as well as my own as well as fetching things for her. I enjoy having her around but do not tell her.

Hello everyone

I am late today.  I have been so busy at work.  It's month end and it gets really stressful.  After the day I had yesterday I was wishing someone would lay me off or fire me.  But today seems to be a much better day.  At least my boss is in a better mood.  She gets stressed out and she snaps on people.  I got yelled at three times yesterday.  Other people did too...no one escaped her wrath. 

I am going this weekend and putting a treadmill or elliptical on layaway at Kmart.  I'm excited.  In one month I will have my own piece exercise equipment!!!  I have no excuse now...knowing me though I will probably come up with something.  I will need to start moving things around in my daughter's old room.  She can't come and get her stuff till May.  so it will be a tight fit with the treadmill until she moves her bed and other things out.   

I am staying here late tonight but afterward I am going out with my friends to see "Shutter Island"  It looks really good.  Then after that I am doing my groceries.  So I am thinking I will be home around 11pm maybe???  It will be a long day.  But I will make up for it because I will be lazy tomorrow.

Carol, I have been a space cadet all week.  I keep thinking DUH every time I turn around.  I hope I get over this soon.

I am glad the week is over.  I only worked 4 days and it was about 3 days too long lol.    I filled in my spare time with a dentist appointment, follow up orthopedist appointment and physical therapy.  One of these days I am going to meet my self coming and going.  

No special plans for the weekend.  I am glad of that.  Just the usual -- laundry, church and grocery shopping.

Good evening everyone

Today has been a busy busy day for me.  I am finally getting around to checking things out here.

I had to go for a 9:30am appt for pre op bloodwork at ABMC this morning and I didn't get home til almost 12!  They were very busy and behind.  The lady who drew my blood sucked!  My arm is all bruised, swollen and hurts like heck.  I came home and told Mike that the other people in my class do a better job on blood draws! lol  It's okay though, she didn't mean it I'm sure.  So now I am ready for my day surgery next Friday.

After that I did homework and when the kids got home the running started!  Jacob and Austyn were going to the other sides tonight and Tyler is going on a weekend trip to WI with the church youth group he belongs to.  Luckily we got everyone where they were supposed to be only a little late  :-)

Now I think I migh****ch some Olympics, or we have the movie, My Sister's Keeper to watch this weekend too.  I just know that I am in my jammies and comfy already!

Hello all!

I had a busy day today not my own doing.  My sister called me today while I was running some errands and wanted me to go to the Cherryvale mall with her - she has been trying to get me to the mall ever since my surgery.  I had not been to the mall for I would say a good two years or so - due to my decreased movability.  Well we were there for 3 hours and it was crazy because my 4yr old daughter and her 5yr old son are best buds and boy did they have the energy.  They are good kids, but after 3 hours of trying to slow them down and watch where they are going - geez.  Needless to say took a little nap when I got home so did my daughter.  heehee
Carol my son's B/G is tomorrow and I am very happy that it is almost over - he will be moving up to Boy scouts and not sure if we will be staying in the same troop.  I don't know the whole story, but this year the troop stepped in and took over the Cub scouts because I think there was a lot of bickering and people not thinking of what was best for the boys.  I have to say that I am not impressed what the Boy scouts have been doing so far either.   We will see. 

I have been having cravings for baked apples - so tonight I peeled, cored and sliced an apple mixed some Splenda and cinnamon sprinkled that on top and cooked it in the microwave for 3 minutes at half power.   Oh my goodness - yummy!!!  Kids had to have their own also - great dessert.
