The king exec has a couch, two person dining table and a desk. I think that the king exec rooms that are over the Cityscape lounge end with 01. That view looks south and east over the river. You look towards Marina Towers.

Dawn, the cheese corn is too cheesy and greasy. Even me, a person that loves cheese corn thinks they put too much of the flavorings on it. We got a small of the cheese and plain. I would not go out of my way to get it again. Actually in the cafeteria at Union Station they sell regular oil (unsalted) popped corn and will put butter on if you like is far better.

I would rather buy just cheese to eat, which we get at the French Market below the Ogilvie Station. They have a Wisconsin Cheeseman stall there, much better.

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

I could have stayed in bed for a couple of more hours this morning, easy.  I had to get up earlier than usual as I am back to the 40+ hours for the next 2 weeks while my boss is out.

My weekend was ok.  Saturday, we worked at the pancake day then took the kids into Rockford for their cast party.  They skated and we went to visit with my sister-in-law and her husband.  Then home to the Olympics.

Yesterday, I got up early and finished our taxes.  I had a big craving for some Cinnamon Life cereal.  I don’t usually eat cereal, but Cinnamon Life was always a big favorite and it sounded SOOOO good.  I poured a very small bowl out of the bottom of the bag (so as not to waste it) and ate it up.  About 3/4s of the way through, I felt very full so I quit.  About 15 minutes later, I was shaking and very ill!!!!  DUMPING!!!!!!  I went back to bed and wound up sleeping for 2.5 hours.  When I woke up I was still shaky and weak.  I felt “off" most of the day.  David was gloating that he could eat all the Cinnamon Life from now on when I looked at the bottom of the bag………..besides the crumbs, it was COVERED in SUGAR!!!!!!  DUH!!!!!  Nothing like a bowl of sugar and milk to make a person sick.  Lesson learned and good to know that the tool still works so well.

Good thing we don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day, I would have missed it.  I DID want to go out for Chinese to celebrate the beginning of Chinese New Year, but after the dumping episode, I didn’t really want to do anything.  I never even stepped outside yesterday.

I am planning on staying in town tonight to attend the Rockford Support Group.  Hope to see some of you there!

Tell someone that you love them!

Things are sort of back to normal at the Baxley household.  I was up at 5:30 am every day last week even though I had to wait for my body to wake up and get through my my morning abloutions and abdolutions before going up to be with Sherry at the hospital.  We still have a lot of therapy and nurses coming to the house for the next couple of weeks and then after that it will be going to a therapy place but it will likely be the one right across Golf from us.

The scale is at 327 today and has been moving down daily so will be back to normal soon.  I missed my middle of the day meds most of last week so that means I have some fluids hanging on which should move on this week.

So you have been forgiven?

Praying that your life is back on track soon. Hopefully Sherry is not in too much pain. My mom had a dickens of a time while in the hospital when they turned on the machine to exercise her knee in bed (not sure they do that anymore), she was in a lot of pain. The nurses did not time the pain meds right when they turned it on. Look forward to seeing her soon at Harvest. I know that it will be close to summer before that happens as we do not serve that often and I am going to guess that she will not be allowed to go back there for a while.

Good Morning my friends,

Today I have no school, nor do the boys.  Tyler does have an orthodontist appointment we'll be leaving shortly for then I just need to stop and pick up ink for our printer and then back home to finish a project for school that is due tomorrow.

Don't have any plans other than that today.  Just gonna enjoy my last day off before going back to school tomorrow.  This is the last week in our Mod so we have a big final on Thursday too.

I am SO happy to be having my surgery in 2 weeks.  Of course I have to deal with my TOM one more time and it's a doozy.  Glad I can pretty much stay home today.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Monica

Good Morning,

I know, it is almost lunch time, but I wanted to get back from
pt before, came on.

They are going to do heat and electric impulse on my back. She seems to think its as much in the muscel as the spine. Three times a week, for at least 1 month.

I also did my running around for today. Now I need to get busy and then do the exercises that need to be done. She also said I could go back to the treadmill. She did say to shorten the time a bit and build back up to it,

It will be a short workweek for me. Just Tuesday and Wed. I am not complaining, nor am I rubbing it in to all those that are working 5 days. I requested it.

Huggers, and have a safe and warm day.

I realize I am lucky to have a job, but not lucky enough to like my job.  I realize that many are having their hours cut but after 5 years of working 55-60+ hours a week I get pretty tired out.  I litterally feel worn out sometimes.  But I have to work this many hours to pay my bills and have a little extra.  Before this job I worked two jobs for years.  So if I my hours were cut I would be getting another job.  I work overtime to survive, not because it's mandatory.  It would be nice not to have to work overtime but I guess I'm thankful I have it (yikes did I just say that).

In a perfect world I would have a job I love and make enough to own a home and go on small get-a-ways once in awhile.  Alas....will that ever happen????

Good afternoon everyone!

This is my day off, but since the girls are off as well, I'm running around getting all of the appointments done for them...dentist, eye exams...I am still not done.  I have a couple more and then I can finally come home and make dinner.

I'm looking forward to my fill on Friday and also am looking forward to seeing what the scale says.  I've been working hard on getting that protein in first.  Yesterday, we celebrated my husband's birthday and had lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings with his family.  I had a grilled chicken wrap and it was very good...I could only eat half of it before feeling full.  It was a nice day to celebrate all together.

Tomorrow, it's back to work but I'm really glad to have today with the girls...even if they're driving me crazy!  :)  Have a great day everyone!!

 Good Afternoon Everyone!

I am back from my Chicago trip!.  It was a wonderful weekend.  We stayed at the Wit hotel which is on State street just 2 short blocks north of Macy's/Marshall Fields.  The Wedding was at the River East Art Center which was originally an exhibition center for produce in the early 1900's.  It was a very nice venue for a wedding.  The caterer's did an excellent job.  The setting was beautiful and the wedding looked different from the dinner even though it was in the same room.

The food was excellent!  The Chicago Trolley took us from the hotel to the Art Center.  The wedding ceremony was very touching.  The love just flows from the bride and groom.  I had to laugh at my niece after the wedding.  I went up to her and said I need to hug Mrs. Vaccaro (her new name) and she gets this blank look on her face and then says um I don't know where she is (meaning George's mom)  I looked at her and said, Kathy, that is you!  We all got a kick out of it.  I think it finally is sinking in as to what her new name is.  She was a beautiful bride.  The flower girls ranged from age 3 - 8 and they all managed to go down the aisle without tears or chickening out.  We had our doubts.

The rehearsal lunch was at Maggiano's Italian restaurant and it was really YUMMY!  No I did not stick to eating sensibly.  But it was worth it.  Back on the wagon today.  I highly recommend Maggiano's for anyone looking for a great place to eat.  We got to have the leftovers and I must say the chicken linguine was as good reheated as the original.

Now it is back to reality and work.  I have to go grocery shopping yet today.  Hope everyone has a great day!
