Monday Roll Call

Hello everyone

Have I ever mentioned how much I hate Mondays.

This week will be a busy week...it's month end for us.  That means lots of overtime.  Not so much overtime, an extra 5 hours this week.  But add that to the regular over time I work every week and seems like a lot.  I stayed in all day yesterday.  I just didn't feel like going out in the cold.  It was my only day off so I figured I deserved it.

This will be a long week....I'm tired just thinking about it.

I hope everyone had a great Valentines.  Have a great day.

Hi Crystal and Illinois,

I slept in after a very busy weekend, still feel like I am in a fog and just poured my first cup of coffee and finished my activia yogurt.  Our granddaughters are by their dad's this am since there was no school today. We have to pick them up at 2.  I have lots of mending to do and lots of jeans to shorten for Cheyanne. Need to get working on our income tax although we never have a refund so I have plenty of time to file it, just don't like to leave it hanging. Valentines Day and being out of town sabotaged my food but today is a new day to get right back on track..

Hope you all have a great day!

Just saying hello to another Vitello patient.  He is really tough on the pre op counseling but a really great surgeon.

I second the hating of Mondays.  I woke up with a cold and so now I doubly hate Mondays.

This week won't be "too" busy.  Today I'm dropping the kids off at school and then running to Morris to pick up patches at the Boy Scouts Rainbow Council Service Center.  Then running back to work.  The rest of the afternoon is pretty easy though.  Middle son has Tae Kwon Do lessons but Daddy will take him there.  I just have to work on the programs for the Blue/Gold this coming weekend.

Hey hopefully with all that OT you are getting you can splurge on something for yourself?

Despite it being monday I hope everyone has a good day!

Well, Mondays are usually rough, but not today!  No School for President's Day.  However, I am still babysitting, so I guess I'm still working.  Their parents come home today and I get a little more moolah to add to the house fund.

I have been feeling very out of control this weekend.  Being out of my house, not tracking, not eating my regular foods, routine changes are contributing to this feeling.  I can't wait until I'm back home!!

Have a good day

Mondays - well I look at them this way; there are many in the world that would love to have a reason to hate Mondays, my husband included. In regards to OT - I would love to have some or at least go back to a 40 hour week. The reduction in hours has affected the overall output of my pension when I retire - IF the state of IL does not dip into it that is. Some are very fortunate to have the extra hours and pay.

We are still enjoying the view from of 17th floor room. Watching the commuter trains in and out of Ogilvie & Union Stations. We'll hop on Metra later on this afternoon after we go to the shop area in our building. There is a Garrett's popcorn there. I want to find out if it is as good as everyone raves. I am a popcorn snob and really only like making my own from scratch on the stove and I really only like blue or black kernels, they are more crunchy. No butter for me - too messy.

Which hotel are you staying?  The girls and I stayed at the Holiday Inn downtown (above the Sun Times) and we had an awesome view!
I LOVE Garrett's popcorn, the cheese is VERY cheesy and almost greasy so a little goes a looooonnnnnngggggg way.  I will be interested to know your opinion.

Yes, that is where we are at, Holiday Mart Plaza. We always ask for a room ending in "45". That is an King Executive room. We overlook the Chgo River, East Bank Club and can see the Ohio feeder ramp from the Kennedy. With binoculars we can see the ice way north on the lake. I will let you know about the poppy corn. I love cheese corn but only a little because of the mess on the fingers.

LOVE that hotel!!!  Thanks for the tip about the room number.  We had an executive room, but double queens.
