Friday Roll Call
Hello everyone
Yeah!! It's Friday!!! But I do have to come in tomorrow for half of a day. Well I will try to look on the bright side...overtime.
I really have no plans this weekend, except for working. I am returning my exercise contraption tomorrow.? I have been shopping around for an elliptical. I am deciding whether I should buy new or used. There are some like new ellipticals on Craigslist for good prices. The good thing about used is that it's already assembled when you buy it. But I don't know if I should trust something you buy on Craigslist...especially if your going spend $200+. Has anyone had any bad Craigslist stories
Nancy, I hope your knee is feeling better
Lisa, I hope your back is doing better.
Well I hope everyone has a good day.
?
I would think you could get really good deals on Craig's List, especially with this economy. My sister has had very good luck with it but she is in Washington State. She's bought furniture and a camper.
Hope everyone is feeling better and glad it's Friday for all you working people. I found the answer to not being able to sleep thru the night, had our granddaughter for the day and I didn't even get up for the bathroom last night!
We're heading to the RV show in Rosemont this morning, don't need a new one but something to do.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning.
My big plans for today include going to the store and going for dinner tonight. Then coming home to watch the rest of the opening cermonies. No big plans for the remainer of the weekend. I will just be watching the road crews tearing up our street some more.
I do have PT for my back on Monday morning. We will see how that goes.
Stay warm, stay safe.
Huggers,
LISA
Kids are off of school today so we are heading out to a place called Monkey Joes to visit with my best friend and her little girl. I guess it is like a big indoor play space for kids and it's entirely padded...A very good thing when you have boys. Then we are eating dinner and maybe watching some of the opening ceremonies. We'll see.
Saturday we have house projects! I want to paint the one wall in our basement with masonry sealer and see if it helps. Then I want to prime the walls in our room for an extreme small budget makeover.
I also love watching the olympics, I love Alpine Skiing, speed skating and snowboarding. As a kid I would watch and pretend to be a skiier on our slippery floors. Ah I was such a dork

Have a great weekend everyone!

I am tired too but just keep putting one foot in front of the other. I am trying to focus more on me and making small changes with my diet. Earl made some Swedish sausage for dinner last night that did not agree with me..So I am defrosting ground turkey to make myself some burgers or a meatloaf for dinner tonight. I'll freeze the extra and thaw some when I need to.
We are heading to Wisc tomorrow, my brothers band is playing sat night for a Valentines dance..Haven't seen him since Christmas and the band play since last fall. Should be fun as it's at the American Legion Hall and we always have a good time there..
Have had oatmeal and coffee this am, planning salad and soup for lunch and the turkey and vegis for dinner.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Hi Crystal and the rest of
I am working today and it is SO quiet here. Fridays are usually slow and 90% of the staff is off due to cut back hours. I have to stay all day and work 40 hours for 2 weeks since my boss is gone. It is much easier to work when he is away.
After work, home to see what’s for dinner and check on Liv’s shoulder. She fell last night skiing, and was complaining of pain. I did not see her this morning, but I am assuming that things are good since there has been no call from school.
Tomorrow, we are working at
No Valentine’s plans for us. We usually do not “celebrate" that Hallmark Holiday. I AM excited to hear that Sunday is also the beginning of Chinese New Year, so maybe we can do something for that. If not, we may get together with the neighbors to celebrate a birthday and a bit of Mardi Gras……or maybe we will just roll them all up together!
That’s about it for me. I hope you are all well and happy!!!!
We are overlooking the north Loop along the Chicago River, we see the Han**** Bloomies, other fanastic condo buildings and can also see the UC (where we will go to a game in mid April) where the Bulls and Blackhawks play to the west. We can also see a tall office building way out west in Itasca from our room. This 20+ story building can also be seen from my street when there are not leaves on the trees. We ask for a specific number room on a corner. We are tired at the moment and are recharging our batteries for a little later tonight.
Tomorrow the Art Institute, Sunday Moody Memorial Church for service, then across the street from church is the Chicago History Museum. We will go to Chicago Pizza Grinders for a late lunch and then walk back to the hotel.
Sunday we will go to a Chinese restaurant by the hotel to celebrate Chinese New Year. Then . . . whew we will be tired and sleep in Monday and take the local Metra home.

I usually have to work the weekends, so Fridays aren't usually special days for me. I am off this Sunday because it's my husband's birthday and we're visiting his family up in Wisconsin for the day. The girls had a half day today and are off on Monday for President's Day. My daughter's trip to Washingtong DC was postponed a week due to the snow. I had a feeling that would happen, but at least I don't have to worry about her being on a bus for the night while it's bad weather!
Tonight, I'm going to get my hair cut and dyed/highlighted. I've never dyed it before so this ought to be interesting! I decided to treat myself a bit and I'm so tired of the same old hair style! If there is time, we may go to the movies afterward.
Tomorrow is work and then baking cake and cherry pie for Sunday. I hope everyone has a great weekend!!
